  • Carroll - 6'3", 215 lbs.
  • Hathaway - 6'2", 215 lbs.
  • Smith - 6'7", 210 lbs.
  • Wolf - 6'3", 215 lbs.
They'll certainly have some options for "beef" on Johnny's right side.

I think you have it the wrong way around.

Its natural to know more about your own team's borderline prospects and therefore think they are good.

3/4 of the guys from every team are long shots to get more than a cup of coffee in the bigs.

No Reinhart. I guess they think he's been there, done that.

No Knight either

Crap I forgot about Wolf, he wasn't on the official site listing. But he's on other rosters, so I'm guessing should be there. They have to flip one or two of these LWs in order to fill up the right side. Strength down the wings is very unever as is...

Gaudreau - Bennett - Smith
Klimchuk - Granlund - Wolf
Ferland - Arnold - Agostino
Brabant - Elson - Jooris

would make for an interesting lineup with plenty of beef and intimidation up top as well as depth and experience in the bottom 6.

I hope Padakin gets a chance to play as well, I still believe he's going to earn a contract.

Wolf is on the roster that has a time stamp of 3:08 (originally linked). If you go to the website now there is a roster that has a time stamp of 3:40 where Wolf isn't included. I wonder if this was a correction or if the last roster left him off by mistake.

Looking at it now the first link is the prospect camp roster, which shows up on. He does not show up on the Young stars roster headed to BC.

Too much pro experience to play, apparently.

There's a note on the Penticton roster that he'll be participating in the camp but isn't eligible to play in the tournament.

I'd switch Kulak and Culkin, otherwise, that's what id go to for a starting lineup (perhaps with Smith getting moved down a line or two if its not working out), with Ortio playing ahead of McDonald.

Edit - Id actually move Elson to Center on the 4th line and put Carroll on one of the wings.

I wonder how much time some of the invitees will get.

I thought goalie Doug Carr would get an invite after signing with Adirondack. He might be too old at 25.

The Jets have some players and wont be bad but the Oiler squad looks weak on paper.

Its ţo bad Janko and Gillies cant take part. It would only make the group stronger.

Wolf, Poirier and Wotherspoon not playing.

Wolf not playing is probably best for the general health of deadmontons prospects.

Why is Hanowski not playing? Does the age cut off have to do with birth year, perhaps 1991 and earlier? Hanowski is 23, turns 24 in October.

Hopefully Gaudreau continues to set the bar high and looks dominant in this tourney. With his level of play in College, World Jrs and the recent World Tourney, he was an impact player in every situation he's been put in.

Would be nice to see that trend continue here. Looking forward to it.
