^plus no replacement refs so the players on the field should get to decide the outcome of the game this time

It's getting close now!

Really excited to see which teams surprise this year! Who is terrible/great out of nowhere. No offence to either Broncos/Seahawks but I hope the superbowl has two different teams this year, just makes for more interesting storylines...

More than likely the officiating to be the top story tomorrow, one way or another. Remember its back to extreme touch rules with holding and illegal contact because fierce, physical defence is not allowed in todays NFL.

Wah! Try blowing a four TD lead in the third quarter of a playoff game.

Wah! Playoffs? Not since 2002. Once since 1994.

waching the pre-game show !@#!@! got my beer and popcorn ready already, thought game time was @7:30est!

they just mentioned that NFL is reviewing the drug policies and welker and gordon's suspensions may be reduced and if done before sunday, could be cancelled altogether.

The NFL gets away with so much crap, it's not even funny. they really need to start drawing a line somewhere on their moral ground. Recreational drug use, drinking and driving, steroids/HGH use, domestic violence, etc, it can't happen so rampantly in a league that is so popular in north america.

I'm really annoyed at the potential drug policy change in the direction of leniency. These players are looked at as gods to so much of the youth across the continent. This message that recreational drugs are generally accepted (just not by the police) is such a terrible message. If these players want to play earn the millions of dollars in pay, the endorsements, the fame, etc, then they need to be responsible for the role they play as role models.

i love the 2nd offence your out of the league rule for domestic violence. That type of punishment needs to be laid down on the recreational drug, steroid/HGH use in my opinion.

sorry for the rant, but i'm twiddling my thumbs waiting for game time...

The only reason kids are aware that these guys are taking recreational drugs is because the league is testing for them. I think what these guys do on their own time (so long as it isn't harming other people) is their own business. They're not paid to be role models. They're paid to play football.

i disagree. whether they like it or not, these players are absolutely role models that a lot of young kids look upto at that age when your sports heros are your heros. it seems like every week this offseason we're hearing about another NFL player suspended for something related to drugs, dui, domestic violence, assault, etc. The NFL should take some responsibility and put in stricter rules around behaviour of their athletes.

I would also love to see a more stringent approach to steroid/hgh use in the NFL also, as there's got to be some level of linkage to what is being seen at the nfl level and the number of youth doing steroids in the states today.

anyways, almost game time!

You don't get to own every aspect of a player's life. I'm fine with the domestic abuse policy because it's so seldomly prosecuted correctly that it might be the only punishment the player actually faces. Recreational drugs? To me that's just modern day temperance nonsense.

It hasn't, it has shifted to NO.

He'd totally dull the scissors and give the barber arthritis.

The Frasier theme song is easily the most egregious thing so far.
