* Dallas picked Sheppard at 8th and than traded him to the Preds.
** Thanks to NYR GM Jeff Philipoff, for making this selection for us.

Best Pick – Claude Giroux
Claude’s stock has risen quite a bit since the Final CSB rankings. Ranked 38 among North American skaters, he went 22nd overall to the Flyers. Very Skilled, good skater, has very good hands, handles the puck well in a crowd, is elusive, creative and patient.

Best Scouting Pick – Tomas Kana
One of the top European skaters went 31st overall to the Blues. Drafted 71st in the CPHL, after GM Schum saw he was still available and than traded up to get him. Mobile hard working skater who likes to go straight for the net, fine acceleration speed, very good overall skill level, creates scoring chances with surprising moves in the offensive zone, good forechecker, good with the puck, has very good hockey sense and offensive instincts, a good passer and playmaker, he is effective on the power-play. Preds very happy with this selection.

Best Signed Player – Andrea Nodl
A Surprise pick for most in attendance. Is an excellent skater with a long stride, has very good speed with mobility and can beat an opponent one-on-one to the outside, has excellent hands with a hard wrist shot, will surprise a goaltender with his quick release and has natural scoring instincts

- Overall Predators had 6 guys drafted in the top 50
" We belive getting 6 guys out of the top 46 is a huge accomplishment for our scouts and they have been rewarded for those efforts. Our prospects pool got stronger through the draft and hopefully they keep developing." Said GM Schum.

Are your scouts that good that they need their own thread? Your superlative hockey purveyors wouldn't want to associate with the ones in the Did your scouts earn their coin? thread.
