Those videos look great, however the jersey physics look funny to me. They went overboard trying to make the jerseys move dynamically, so they look like they're made of tissue paper now.
Oh well.

I'm not sure what to think of the puck shadow (looks too apparent?), but overall, I am really excited for this game!

I'm very excite for the commentary, but there doesn't seem to be much said after a goal. Especially a beauty one like Lombo scoring on the Jackets.

Aw man. Want. WANT. The day approaches.
I too was hoping for a bit of TLC for the offline modes like Be a Gm, but oh well. The revisions and updates they've made look great so far, and I can't wait to dart around the ice with next-gen Sean Monahan and co.

The shadow size, if it's like 13 and 14, can be changed. The puck size will probably be able to be changed as well.

I remember taking the shadow nearly off and suddenly being almost unable to locate it. I kind of ruined it for myself... it looked so much more realistic but I had to turn the shadow back on. Now it's all I see.

that's why I used the puck trail, but most people probably can't stand it.

I'll go on record and say this might be one of those little things that drives me insane. They seemed to really focus on it when they were doing their feature videos, but it strikes me as something the new hardware allowed so they went in with both feet. In reality though, I can't say jerseys waving in the air is something I've ever noticed. It looks super strange to me when somebody is skating at minimum pace and the front of their jersey looks like a flag in the wind.

Is it me or is the play by play pretty terrible? I'm glad they changed the presentation, and I think the NBC broadcast and announcer is great in real life, but in the game his commentary sounds so unnatural and stitched together. Doesn't seem like they did a very good job with it.

Yep I agree. I think the benefit of reusing the same broadcast cast the previous however many games was they could add more and more to an existing database.
Granted, I find Doc Emrick's voice and style of play-by-play to be pure ear cancer so I'm biased.
Ray Ferraro's few lines in those videos sounded great and natural though.

Arena lights are left and right orientated so I would hope an object would have two shadows when there is light sources from two sides.

I think they do in previous games as well, and it struck me as odd until I looked for it in a real game, and sure enough it's accurate for the reason mentioned above.

It's the first year, so it'll only get better. But damn am I ever glad there's no more Gary Thorne and Bill Clement, that lasted too long... to the point I was ready to have Jim Hughson back.

As long as the days of Matt "Stay-on" are over, I'll be happy with the commentary.

There are no achievements for EASHL or GM Connected in the XBox One version of NHL 15.
Not a good sign for those game modes to be in the game.

there had better be a "be a gm" mode in the game (offline) or i'd be quite unhappy. Especially at this stage where the flames are so much fun to play as a rebuilding club.
Are they planning on announcing ANYTHING about game modes or what?? the lack of information being released for the game is definitely concerning to me.
