True but I think Habs fans are more than happy that subban has earned a big pay day with his performance over the last two seasons. Just like we flames fans will be more than happy if backlund and Brodie continue their stellar development and earn big paydays next year.
I think Montreal fans would be more frustrated that management hasn't payed up for subban at this point. That was supposed to be the whole idea of the bridge contract... Subban proves his value over the two years and Montreal would pony up the dough when the time came. I can understand having reservations about a player I guess but subban's camp has to think he's done pretty much all they've asked him to in the bridge deal.
