It seems that Stephen Ames has run out of exemptions and this will be his last year on the PGA Tour. A pretty stellar career all in all. Surprised to see he is #45 on the all time career money list with $19.7 million.

I misspoke in my earlier post. It's not money anymore, it's Fed Ex points and he's 131st.

It was both top 125 for points and money this season. However, reading more into it, it looks like that was a one time thing for this year, but they were going to decide whether to carry that forward. But I don't see anything that suggests that they have made that decision or not.

It is very confusing. That article was referencing the season starting in Oct 2013, which is the 2013-2014 season we are currently in. You can see by the current exempt list, that there are entries for both top 125 in fedex and money:

Heading to the Barclays (First round of the FedEx Cup playoffs) in Paramus, NJ near the end of August. I'm excited! It'll be my first live PGA Tour event.

Hoping Tiger gets enough Fed Ex points to make it in!

I wasn't aware of it, but is it true he has missed time for personal issues before?

A lot of speculation on the net right now.

Maybe him and Paulina can do rehab together. Wouldn't that just make for such a sweet storyline.

If not for his two hole stretch of a double bogey and a bogey Rory would already be 5 shots ahead of the field. He's dominating at an utterly absurd level right now, only question this weekend might be how much will he win by.

If he had dumped his girlfriend before the Masters, he could be looking at finishing off a grand slam now. He's looking like he has a pretty good shot at a Tiger slam though.

Gotta love how the #1 ranked player surges to the lead and ESPN's headline is all about Tiger, who's 13 strokes back.

ESPN declared Rory "Off the rails" when he made his double bogey-bogey run yesterday. Tiger is just "struggling". ESPN is a self parody at this point, everyone knows they only promote or care about stars they helped make or who will give them good access.

I don't really get the people who only join this thread to talk about all the coverage Tiger gets. There was a good battle between Sergio and Rory the last few weeks and if you actually watched the weekend coverage of both those tournaments, there was nary a talk of Tiger Woods. I am not a Tiger fan by any means, but he is (for now) by far the greatest active golfer. I have no issue with the networks focusing on him on Thu and Friday. There were many a tournament years ago where they did the same for Jack Nicklaus and others. When the weekend comes around, the focus is always on the leaders.

I watched the final round last week. I also watched Clark come back to beat Furyk two weeks ago. But if I had posted it here, i'd have been talking to myself (which happens alot in this and other threads)

What a great field left. Delaet goes at 12:20. Final group at 1:00.

So many stars young and old.
