It doesn't have to be across the street if he needs access to his truck frequently - there are areas at each end on the same side where he would have better access to the doors anyway, without impeding customer parking. The loading zone can accommodate more than one vehicle.
I'm just pointing out that there are more practical places to park if he is indeed a worker, and if he was actually there all day. This was in the morning and the lot was filling up fast, so maybe he got caught off guard? Who knows. He may have been inside selecting geraniums for all we know.
The thing is, in most cases there is no reason to not park properly other than general laziness. In just about every case where a person is parked too close to the car next to them or extremely close to the line, all it would have taken would be for them to back up and park again, with more care the second time.
People just generally don't give a fata and as long as they are parked, they don't care about who they are affecting with what they are doing.
But you have no way of knowing if that person parked like that cause they can't park inside the lines or cause of how others were parked around them.
No point of shaming them.
Shame the people who park there ####ty F150's accross 2 stalls, or d-bags parking in handicap stalls without a tag.

Sure, when parking further away in open spaces is available you can park there. It's not always available.
Parking a wider vehicle centered in one space is simply uncourteous to the people parking beside. It make much more sense to park centered on 2 spaces. That way, you only take up two spaces. Parking centered in one space essentially means you take up 3 spaces.
Narrow aisles with parking on one side and a building wall on the other are terrible for longer vehicles. I'd park exactly like that picture, it's the best way to be courteous to others. If the parking lot was mostly full, I'd probably park somewhere else, if it were at all reasonable.
If I'm driving a trailer, I'll pull in where I can get in easily, and where I think I can get out easily. As little backing and corners in narrow parking lots as possible is best. I'll try to park further away if it's reasonable. But i'm not going to park further away if there is plenty of closer parking empty.
Driving a crew cab long box dually, there are only two options for parking in most parking lots - have the rear end stick a long way into the drive aisle, or take up 4 parking spots. I suppose parking perpendicular to the stalls might allow you to take up only 3 stalls, so you should probably be thankful if you are in a busy lot and see such a truck parked that way. If the lot isn't anywhere near full, why do you even care?

If the parking lot is mostly empty I have no issue with an oversized vehicle taking up a couple of spaces in order to make it a more comfortable fit.

Exactly what I'm talking about in my post above. How exactly would you want that guy to try to park? Parking exactly like seen there is by far the best for everyone.

Agreed, that guy literally has no other option with that vehicle and did the least problematic thing he could. Also, that parking lot is empty, again, people who get up set on the "principal" of things need to find more to do with their time.
If that were a Saturday afternoon at Chinook Mall when spots are few and far between I'd say either don't bring your stupid work truck to the mall or park on the street rather than take up 4 spots, but when the mall is that empty people need to get some perspective and calm the F down about sh#t that doesn't impact them.

What's weird about that photo, is both those vehicles are technically inside "the lines" on their respective parking spots (although the DB with the douchy plate might be touching his line with his back tire).
Those aren't huge vehicles either. Either that parking lot is messed up and doesn't have big enough spaces, or owner of the vehicle that is all pissed off is equally as far over in their stall as the driver they are pissed at.

This thread is a perfect example of why this new trend of public shaming is so stupid. Everyone's an investigator and reporter with this crap. As you can see from this thread there's just as much misinformation and stupidity from the shamers as there is from the offending side. Difference being the "offenders" don't get their say, and the petty shamers get to sit around in a big circle jerk on facebook publicly shaming people with no consequence.
This is a little less worse because it's just the vehicles and they're not actually shaming a "person".
But like I said in that story I told a few weeks ago where a couple of guys decided I was excessively speeding on glenmore (90 in a 70) and sped up and started filming me, 3 feet from my bumper and changing lanes to stay behind me. Just let bylaw/police do their jobs.
In the case of those nerdy guys, they thought they were awesome and were probably laughing about how hilarious it would be once they get it online. What they didn't realize is that I was ready to phone the police for their antics, and even worse (for both of us) is that they were so out of line, imo that I was about 3 seconds away from forcing them off the road and then pulling one of them out and beating the #### out of him.
This stuff is so lame, and half the ones discussed in this thread have been debunked.

Yeah.... I don't get it. I dislike poor parking and driving too, but how many of these park jobs actually negatively effected anybody? The ones in handicap spots, absolutely. Or the fire lane, or on the sidewalk. But most of these are inconsiderate, but hardly an issue. Even the lady that complained she couldn't get her kid in the car seat, look at the size of that parking lot! Two Ford Focus' parked perfectly straight would still have issues there.

Yeah I also agree that a lot of these aren't an issue. Lots of them look like they just parked at the back of the lot where there was lots of space to avoid dinging people. But stuff like the one I posted where you totally have the option to be courteous are the ones that frustrate me. He literally just had to scoot over a few inches. WTH. The truck in front of him fit just fine. He has no excuse.
