Iginla in 04 against San Jose. Comes in on a breakaway, missing, picks up the puck off the back boards and wraps it in the open net. Just defined the hustle and never give up attitude of that team.

Any Gelinas 2004 goal is up there for me but also the Neiminen goal against Detroit when he completely undressed Joseph alone outfront to spark a big turn in the game.

Watching the ones from last season really makes me believe we are building a special team that will even surprise next year. As long as management doesn't screw it up though.
The year where Sutter lost his marbles has made me forever paranoid of that

Hey now. Careful

This Niemenen goal from the 2004 series against Detroit sticks out in my mind because of how unexpected it was. The Flames were down 2-0 (which in the low-scoring clutch and grab era was almost a death sentence) and then tied it up with 2 goals 18 seconds apart; the second one being a beauty goal from Ville Niemenen of all people...
(At 2:11 if you don't want to watch both goals)

Obviously any playoff goal in games and series that the Flames win take precedence.
Game 7 goals vs the Canucks, Nilson's goal Game 1 2004 Detroit, Donovan had a beauty against SJ, and SC Final goal etc. etc.
But in the last half decade or so, there have been some great goals. I was a "Todd Bertuzzi as a Flame" fan. The hands, and little moves this guy has as well his ability to take the puck is fantastic...there were a couple shootout goals, but his highlights are basically right here on the Flames top goals of 2008-09, a lot of good stuff that the Flames could've used a year or so longer.
Flames failed run to the playoffs in 2012 was highlighted here, if nothing more than Sutter's reaction as the Flames pulled closer to a spot:
For one of those "pure" excitement goals, where it builds and builds until Iginla's OT winner against CBJ 4 years ago. There was about 30 seconds of action not in this clip that was also buildup to the goal.
Lanny's game 6 goal is the sentimental favourite for me, but when Gio Ovechkin'd the Coyotes, that was the moment I said to myself, "This is our next captain." The Flames were just sucking wind that game, and Gio just decided to say F it, and took things into his own hands.
Beating Detroit in 04, purely because I was in the building and the reaction was absolutely insane. What a great memory.
I was there too. I will remember the celebration for the rest of my life. I was sitting beside this 60 year old man with a huge flames flag on a hockey stick. After Gelinas scored in OT I got up on my chair and he let me waive the flag around. Awesome memory
I remember watching that and never had I seen a player dominate a game in such a way. And it wasn't even like it was dominance through skill alone... It was will. Teams were powerless to stop him. Every shot he took looked like he put everything he had into it. Every hit he made almost put guys through the glass.
All through that playoff run teams tried to shut iginla down... And these were the best teams in the NHL... But he was at a whole other level from everyone else. I think about the Detroit series and you look at the guys they had but they all looked meek and slow with iginla on the ice. Didn't matter where he was on the ice... Whenever he had the puck, he was going to make something happen.
