All the 04 elimination goals. I remember Detroit the most too. I think I was crying tears of joy that night in my drunken stupor screaming with everybody at Bottlescrew Bills.

But this is also one of my favorites. I love Montador's celebration. Pure elation.

Beating Detroit in 04, purely because I was in the building and the reaction was absolutely insane. What a great memory.

If I remember correctly, it was the third period and I think we were up by one, though we might have been tied, but I feel this was the insurance goal.

Roman Hamrlik breaks in down the left side of the ice from a neutral-zone turnover, walks into the Oilers' zone to the top of the faceoff circle, then hauls back and just hammers (pun obviously intended) a slapshot up over probably Roloson's left shoulder, blasting the water bottle off the top of the net.

I remember thinking at the time. "Yes! **** YES! **** you, Edmonton!"

edit: My memory must be faulty. I went to try to find the game log of which game this was, but I can't find any record of Hamrlik scoring a goal against the Oilers while he was a Flame ... that's disappointing, it's such a clear memory.
You may be thinking of Matthew Lombardi. If I recall correctly we were down 2-0 (or more) late in the game and Lombo scored to send it to OT (or win I can't remember) with about 30 seconds left. It was a slapshot from the near-side boards.

Outside of rock concerts that was the loudest I've ever heard the Dome. Couldn't hear myself yelling.

Lanny's 500th goal and 1000th point, both on the wraparound.

Iginla's two goals in game 7 against Vancouver in 2004.

Gelinas series winners against Vancouver and Detroit.

The Shift.

Montador's OT goal is up there too IMO. For aesthetic reasons, can't beat Nieminen's undressing of Cujo in 2004. Has it been 10 years already?!?

Best part about this one is that it was about 10 seconds after scoring and I believe it either tied us at two or put us up by two.

I love remembering how, for years afterward, Flames fans shouted "SHOOT" every time Smith touched the puck in the Oiler end.

Even when Smith played for Calgary we would still yell "Shoot" at him.

For me there is a goal Fleury scored vs Edmonton where he undressed (I think) Ranford on a breakaway or semi break, skated across the crease but paused for a split second before roofing it. CLearly to add extra insult. It was awesome. Smith or Beukeboom absolutely stapled him to the cross bar immediately after, but it was an awesome goal.

I have a memory of a Kent Nilsson goal from a game I was at in the corral. There was a crowd of players in front of the net and someone hammered a slapshot that went off of Nilsson. The puck literally fell on its edge and rolled willy nilly across the line as all the players and goalie were flat on the ice. It just as easily could have rolled into the corner. Total fluke, but I loved it. I remember being bummed out when Ed Whalen didn't show it on the highlights the next day.

Michel Petit scoring on "the Bossy" play. First time I remember Calgary using a slick face off play for a goal.

Al MacInnis penalty shot where he wristed it past the goalie. Everyone in the rink thought he would wind up for a slapshot. Disappointed he did not, but very memorable.

But the Steve Smith goal was on a totally different level for me. For people who were not alive or old enough to remember, at that time there were still old style telephone lines and one telephone provider - AGT. After Flames and Oiler games you would try to call long distance and some times it would ring busy because the lines were tied up. The person you were calling was not necessarily on the phone, rather there was a physical limit to the number of calls the older lines could handle. After this goal you couldn't get through long distance for HOURS as everyone in Alberta called oiler fans to rub it in. I remember where I saw it, what chair I was in, who was in the room, what shirt I was wearing, and how I celebrated. An equivalent today is tough to mention because there hasn't been a dynasty for a while in any major sport.

My all time favourite is from Iggy's greatest shift when Saprykin scores in game 5.

Just due to recency bias there were some this year that I loved. Monahan's GWG against the Devils, Giordano's tying goal against St. Louis and Brodie's OT winner against the Blackhawks were the highlights of the 2013-2014 season for me.

Lanny McDonald scores an OT goal in game 6 vs the Oilers in 1984.

Go to 11:56 of the video for the goal

I was at the dome when Saprykin scored the OT winner in Tampa... man, I knew for sure when they won Game 5, the cup was ours.... I was wrong.

The goal that nobody really cared about because they were all too happy to begin with.
