The @PredsNHL have signed center Mike Ribeiro to a 1-year, $1.05 million contract predators.nhl.com/club/news.htm?

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed free-agent forward Mike Ribeiro to a one-year, $1.05 million contract.

“Mike is a talented veteran center who has produced offensively everywhere he has played,” Poile said. “We have done our due diligence and believe Mike has a lot to offer to our team, improves us at our center ice position and will fit in with our group and contribute.”

1 year is decent and at the absolute worst they can buy him out and not be too worse for wear. Best case is he turns it around and goes back to scoring a lot of points and being a team player.

Hey he scooped sureloss in this one. That's not easy to do.

But I have noticed he likes to start a blog in the morning, to get an early time stamp on it. Then he edits it throughout the day. I think, he thinks, it makes it look like he had the news before it happened.

Now that teams are grabbing the problem cases someone will sign Del Zotto, after that happens he will add it to his blog from 9:15 this morning and tell people he had that hours ago.

edit: sorry I clicked the link where he said Ribiero, he got me with exactly what I was complaining about.

Don't think they can buy him out....if anything, they'd put him on waivers or send him down or something. The one year deal isn't too bad though.

I'm no fan of his, but I believe the "but wait there's more" is probably referring to Ribeiro.

If they sign Roy, then he's basically called this one.

Doubt it. Joshua Cooper had an article up on Roy possibly coming to the Preds 7 mins before Eklund tweeted anything about it.
