He's a pretty big guy. You can just tie his limbs to the net a la Mighty Ducks or Simpsons.

While I was well aware of "The Decision" and who LeBron James is (seriously, so many pop culture references it's literally impossible to not know who he is, but I digress), what I didn't know is it's actually happening all over again for "The Decision" 2.0.
How can a single person have that massive an ego?

He's not doing the decision 2.0 just a free agent.

I don't understand how Martin St Louis demanding a trade is anythig close to what Lebron did. Players ask for trades every year. Some drafted players refuse to play for a team which is way worse. I might be forgetting something but why is St Louis made to be this horrible person when a lot of players have done the exact same thing.

St Louis demanded a trade because Yzerman had passed over him when making Team Canada Olympic selections. Never mind that this was possibly the best hockey team ever assembled, and thus also the most difficult roster to crack in the history of the sport, St Louis somehow interpreted this as a snub, and responded like a petulant child.
All told, it was a pretty ungrateful act, especially after he was eventually named to the team, and won a gold medal while looking largely invisible during the tournament.

Still don't see how that is any worse than Kesler or Spezza demanding trades. Bail on my teammates and organization as soon as the going gets a little tough. No one knows all the details so I'm not going to make him out to be some horrible person. End of the day it's his life and he's gotta do what's best for him. Having such a passionate opinion about it is just odd to me. Especially when the guy was viewed as one of the most respected guys in hickey before that. But ya guess people will turn on you that fast.

The thing is though, he was not bailing on a team because the "going got tough". At the time, TB was a bonafide playoff threat, and had it not have been for an injury to Ben Bishop, would almost have certainly not seen their post-season expire in four games.
St Louis did not demand a trade because he wanted the chance to win. St Louis demanded a trade because his feelings were hurt by what he perceived to be an egregious oversight and a personal slight on the part of Hockey Canada and his boss, Steve Yzerman. It's ridiculous because of what eventually transpired: St Louis was a candidate to play in the Olympics three times, and saw that opportunity realised twice. In both Olympic tournaments in which he participated, he was practically a non-factor. He is the proud owner of a gold medal today not because he was one of the best players on the team, but because he just happened to be a utility player on a truly great team. This all happened before his demand for a trade.
So, I can overlook Spezza and Kesler's demands for wanting to win. It's tough to equate that to St Louis who appears to have had his feelings hurt, and responded in an "I'll show them" sort of infantile reaction.

Help, save, whatever.

Personally, I think Lebron comes across as a great guy. All he wants to do is win. I remember the first time he won the Championship and how emotional he was. He could stay in Miami and get paid the max, but he is considering returning to Cleavland even after how he was treated by the Cavs owner. Think about how many hockey players will choose a crappy team to play for just because it is in the sunbelt. I don't think there is anything wrong with a player choosing a team based on its location, but it seems to me all Lebron cares about is the championships and his family. I'm hoping he goes back to Cleavland. It would make a great story!

Lol this happens every day at every job in the world. People don't get along with their boss or co workers and switch companies/jobs. Don't like their situation or don't see eye to eye so they move on. You might have even done it yourself and if you haven't probably half the people on this board have. He did his job, demanded a trade, kept quiet, went about his business. What a terrible human being.

So "pulling a LeBron" now means going back to where you started?
Come back Iggy.

Cool down man. It was a joke. You misspelled hockey in your post. I thought it was funny considering your handle.
