My oldest son is visiting nana in Calgary and went to today's development camp where he met Treliving, Hartley, Gelinas, Gaudreau, Bennett, and some other prospects. The Flames media team decided to showcase him on twitter.
I hung around Winsport for a minute today before I realized there was no afternoon session. Ran unto Michael Ferland. He looks great, glad to see his knee seems to be better. I have a feeling he's gonna be the surprise of 2014. Got a feeling about this.

to me, it looked more serious than a bruise, but I have no info.
Yeah, I hope you're wrong, but I think you're right.
It's just awful. Sieloffs such a great guy but he has been dealt some terrible luck recently. That said, if there's someone I think could bounce back from this, it's definitely Sieloff. The guy is a total warrior, it just sucks that he's run into some terrible luck.

It's so unfair, such an innocent, non-contact play
Had he been cleared for contact he would have played the body and the puck wouldn't have hit him!
Let's just hope it was more of a shock than anything.

At least if it is a break, it'll only be a month or so, so it shouldn't be that bad. Not that it's good at all.

The majority of prospects at Calgary Flames summer development camp are hell-bent on adding bulk to their frames, but 22-year-old centre Bill Arnold is actually shooting to slim down a bit this summer.
“Just trying to trim down, get a little extra foot-speed,” Arnold explained. “That’s definitely something I want to work on.”
So far, so good.
Arnold, who tipped the scales at about 205 lb. during his senior season with the NCAA’s Boston College Eagles and in his one-game audition with the Flames last spring, reported to development camp at 197 lb.
You can see the difference — both on and off the ice.
In fact, Arnold was first in his group of a half-dozen skaters to cross the finish line in the climb-the-mountain skating drill at the end of Tuesday’s session, joking afterward “I’m just happy we didn’t do a second one.”
“I feel a little faster. The feet are a little faster, and my conditioning is better than it has been in the past,” Arnold said. “But I don’t want to get too excited about it, because I’ve still got two big months of summer that I have to keep working really hard for.”
To be clear, Arnold was never accused of being in poor condition in the past.
