I wonder if Bennett knows he's being made famous by a man on the Internet known as asshandler Steve.

They will then Google "asshandler steve" to see who this fellow is and inevitably be drawn to this thread. Legendary.

Took a video of the Bennett goal from a slightly different angle; apologies in advance for the slight lack of focus toward the mid point.

Yeah... From that angle you can see the extra slight toe drag before the chip into the net. Unreal. Gaudreau, Bennett, monahan, baertschi, Poirier, klimchuk, jankowski, granlund, Reinhart... This team has gained such a deep prospect pool so quickly it's ridiculous. And It's great that there is so much competition for spots on the roster cause lots of these guys are knocking on the door right now.

I'm not shocked Goudreau stopped for the kids. The US development program really teaches it's players how to interact with fans. It's something that seems to be missing in the Canadian system (not saying we suck at it, just that it's doesn't seem to be a universal trait like it is for the US).

Glad to see this aspect of the game carried over.

There's more to hockey than simply what happens on the ice. Off ice is just as important, and mentally more important.

While we should be drafting and signing players who have good hockey skills, high hockey IQ, and play well under pressure (truculence, grit, etc) we also need to draft players who "play well with others". The ones that give back to charity, stop and talk the kids, sign a few autographs and take a few pictures. Without the fans, where would professional sports be?

Good on Johnny Hockey (and the laundry list of Flames players that is fortunately too long to name).

… on a side note I really wish I was in Calgary right now.

Did anyone happen to get video of Bennett's goal during the scrimmage?

I wasn't recording during the scrimmage, sorry.

Figured I didn't need to with it being streamed online.
