How many contracts can an nhl team sign? I think 50 sounds familiar for nhl but what about minor leagues?

Body fat % has absolutely zero bearing on his energy.

The reason NHL players have low body fat percentage is because it means they're not carrying around unnecessary weight.

During a workout, it takes about 20-30 minutes to get through your carb intake as a source of energy.

After that, your body utilises fat stores. Low body fat: low energy.

Well I don't want to really derail an otherwise very good thread.

Kanzig is probably around 6% bf, which is exactly where a fit athlete usually.

I never said you don't break down body fat while you exercise. I said you don't get your energy levels from your body fat.

There is a reason these kids are going through cooking classes. It will teach them how to properly fuel their body for a 3 hour hockey game, plus practice and everything else that happens on a normal day in the life of a NHL player.

Kanzig could be tired due to numerous reasons. Hell, he might not have slept well and his body didn't recovery from yesterday. It happens to everyone.

Isn't he already listed as 5-9? That may be generous, but when he played against Vancouver he didn't look that small.

Might do wonders for Burkes big guys who can't skate all that well.

I believe that the skating work for the Flames has been turned over to Troy Crowder now.

He may be able to help the big guys as well since he was one of them himself during his career.

Does anyone know if they usually archive video like this? I will be tied up in a couple meetings but would love to catch it later in the day if it's available.

Fun fact:

Most of the energy you use for normal day-to-day activity is actually stored in your liver, in the form of glycogen.

The more you know...

I'm going to try to record the scrimmages this year. I've never used the software before, so I'm not sure whether or not it will work, but what the hell, I'll try anyway.
