He can go to the camp and still keep up with classes - I believe he also has a commitment to be at Hartley's hockey camp for a couple of weeks from July to August.

What's with him only having played 37 games?

I believe it was lower-body injury related. He was only 4 days away from being too young for the 2013 draft and attended Bruins camp after going undrafted.

OMG I will actually be visiting Calgary during this time. Selling my wife on going to watch some amateur hockey players in July however will be a tough one.

I'm a little surprised they scheduled this during Stampede. Should be a good time for the boys.

I think they do every year, no? I remember them taking all the boys to the stampede for some team building

I plan to be there with CagedGreat for at least a couple of the days, to cover the camp for Fireside Chat.

Just a bump out of pure excitement.

As previously posted here are the booked icetimes as per http://www.winsport.ca/aboutwinsport...esbookings.cfm
Saturday, July 5th 10am - 3:45pm
Sunday, July 6th 10am - 3:45pm

Monday
, July 7th 10am - 1:30pm
Tuesday, July 8th 10am - 12:45pm
Wednesday
, July 9th 10am - 12:00pm

All booked in Arena B - Joan Snyder.

Of course I'm heading out to Seattle on the 5th... but I might be able to head there for a few hours that day first. For those intending on going throughout, as many observations as possible would be greatly appreciated!

He was injured for much of the year.

Ended up playing more forward than defense for Kelowna. Has alright offensive instincts, can move the puck a bit and is somewhat mobile but he isn't an intense guy at all and can get caught napping at times.

He was pissed that no one drafted him last year but proceeded to do absolutely nothing about it. Not enough desire and drive with him.

Might be worth a camp invite but doubt he earns himself a contract. Wouldn't put too much stock into the Huska thing, Huska has always wanted to see a bit more from him and shifted him to forward last year because he got outplayed by younger defensemen when he was healthy. Lees hated playing up front although he did do it.

I hope the Flames invite local product Trey Phillips to the camp. He won the AJHL dman of the year, AJHL MVP and CJHL dman of the year and is going to Vermont. He would be worth a look as he definitely has potential to turn into a Rafalski type after 3 or 4 years in the NCAA.

Excited to possibly run into some flames management again, watch Bennett and guys Luke Rafikov and Wolf, and most of all more creepy Kristin Hallett videos.

I'll miss all of it this year, damn. Was hoping it would start a bit later. I expect a lot of analysis.

Ran into Conroy last year, really nice guy, even took a pic with me. I'll be there again this year as well, we should all get together in the same section of the arena.

Monahan may not be participating at development camp, but it sounds like he'll be in Calgary during that time.
