Trolling. That he was stupid enough to push this idea given his history easily warranted the ban. Strombad was almost certainly a returnee anyway, and he'll be back with a new account soon enough.

He was the only one talking any sense in there. The pathetic thing is no one bothered to listen to him.
He was trying to make the point that educated speculation will continue to happen whether they like it or not, but if someone points it out and yells spoiler, makes a deal out of it, instead of just ignoring it, every time a #### storm happens everybody back tracks to see what was said, and everybody ends up having something spoiled. If only people would've bothered to take his advice, far less would actually end up getting spoiled at all. You can't prevent the inevitable, but you can take intelligent measures to protect yourself. Just toss it in the "speculation that may or may not contain prior knowledge" bin, and move on. But people would rather see heads fly at every mention of anything suspicious, because they're moronic and oversensitive.
Apparently he was banned for suggesting the basic idea of a fake spoiler, even though he didn't actually go through with it. I just hope I don't also get banned for saying that it would be funny. I'm staying out of that thread until the season is over.
If you don't want to read spoilers, don't spend your time on an forum thread devoted to GOT. It's as simple as that. Yeah, it would be nice if people catered to your exact wants and expectations, but that's clearly not happening, so just avoid the thread.

Iggy City was stupid enough to listen to him though (and was sin binned for it). As far as Strombad goes, it becomes really difficult to respect a hypocrite who speaks out of one side of his mouth in this thread, and the other in that.
Lmao ^ for a second I thought this was the TV thread.
That would've been something. But yeah, he didn't even suggest what they think he suggested. They'll still be taken off guard. Maybe even more so since some of them will be expecting something else.
What is he saying that's nonsense? The Lannisters are very family oriented, they just have a perverted way of approaching the concept. Cersei's biggest redeeming quality is how devoted she is to her children. Tywin will do anything to preserve the family name (in spite of the actual members of the family). Jaime is literally in love with a member of his family. Tyrion is the only one who gets it right - he's extremely loyal to them, up to the breaking point he is about to reach.
Brienne will be the one to wound him and then the Brotherhood will show up to capture Brienne. Ayra will see them and flee because she doesn't want to be captured again, just before Lady Stoneheart shows up. End season.
