Nope Don't need one . You can except the equipment I have or shell out for a GPS. I'm willing if you supply me with technical equipment up to your standards. I don't got a GPS or access to one. The phone ones that are free or even paid for that matter cost data and are not 100% accurate. However my cycle anaylist current limiter/muti reader is dead on but you don't want me to use it.

O on my last edit I called tour 6000's series claim . turned out your grasping at straws in this pissing contest.The majority of manufacturers use 7005. Like I said Its like I might know my metels or some thing?

FYI I am not a hipster. Those guys can take their fixies and shove them where its warm and dark. Running no brakes then surprise !!!! They end up rear endin' me down Yates Ave and cook street or Hillside Ave and Quadra Street at least 3 times a week going west down those Hills. All because no brakes for stretch of downhill.

My opinion is that that is an e-bike and not cycling in the traditional sense. It is as much a bicycle as the Sinclair C5 is a bicycle (I've thought about getting a real recumbent bike before).



That does not detract from it as a valid mode of transport and vehicle that is in many ways superior to commuting in a gas-powered car. I have seen similar frames around town but I have the feeling a lot of traditional cyclists won't be big fans of that style regardless of electric-assist or not.

I would just say that if you are riding a 55 lbs e-bike at an average of 40 kph on bike lanes/paths, I'd try to stay out of your way!

Well the last couple of pages have been very informative.
I have found out that my Aluminum framed Kona is crap.
My Strava app is crap.
I pedal much to slow...I average 20kph on flat roads. But then I am fat and old.
Pylon and I have something in common.. I have a Ducati Paul Smart
combustabilefuel posts pictures that are too large
And lastly I need kevlar underwear incase my fat carcass makes my aluminum frame break and shove parts into me.

and now it is time for me to go back to biking.

I was fueled by a 1/2 bottle of Alberta Premium Rye I found in my storage room earlier in the day. I am pretty sure it has been sitting in that box since about 1996. That was like finding totally free money.

My honest opinion is he probably has a grossly out of wack or improperly calibrated speedometer, and he truly believes what he is claiming. But anyone that has been a serious cyclist for more than a year, knows how impossible his claims are.

Any recommendations for some biking shorts or style to look for? I usually ride in cargo shorts with thick seams, so I might as well get something appropriate, but not so interested in the skin tight stuff.

They have some Louis Garneau trail and mountain shorts that are probably good, just wanted to hear if there is anything to look out for specificaaly for fabric or design.

I was recommended to go to cyclepath or one of those store, they have a machine you sit on and it located your bones and pressure points, then recommends a seat design.

My daughter crashed her bike and now the front brake doesn't work. Only one side of the brake works. I don't know how to post pics but her is a link to twitter that has a picture.

not everyone wants to wear spandex in public. I always have that style of short on, but I'll have a shell to put over them if I'm on my commuter or mountain bike (or if I'm packing on too many pounds). Louis makes some decent ones. I had a Race Face shell I wore for about a decade before it finally wore out.

yeah, I hate Specialized, but their Body Geometry seats have worked for me. Bow Cycle does these and has the machine you sit on.

Interesting. Luckily my ####ty aluminum bike hasn't shattered into a thousand pieces hitting rock ledges that fast, and neither have any of my buddies. We must be lucky!

Get a pair of pliers and a wrench to fit that nut. Loosen the nut, and try and bring the brake arms together with your fingers, then pull on that cable end with your pliers, tighten the nut and you should be good to go.

Search how to adjust a v brake on you tube and you should find some helpful videos.
