And QPR go up with a last minute goal. Completing what has to be one of the most undeserving promotions of all time.

Thats a shame. I mean, hes a good coach and probably a good hire for Spurs, but Southampton had a great season and now they're being cut apart by the rich wolves.
They've lost Pochettino and they'll likely lose Lallana and Shaw as well.

I've seen Lovren's name linked with bigger clubs a few times too. That will gut their team if even 2 of those 3 leave. All 3 would be devastating to their hopes of challenging for European places.

At least Southampton produces good young players - they have a great academy setup there which serves to feed into the first team. If they get enough cash from sales of guys like Lallana, Shaw and/or Lovren, then they can buy smartly, with a good coach they are still in that group of teams chasing the European places. They are behind a lot of good teams, but it takes only a couple having a down year... They should be top half at least

Oh, I think they're going to lose at least all 3 and now their good young coach is gone as well.
They might stick in the top half, but it still sucks to see it happen.

Really hope Levy actually gives him some time to implement what he wants. I'm really hoping Lamela sticks around now and that the two can work well together.

I dont think they were ever going to sell Lamela this year because it would be at an all time low for him
I think a fellow Argentine will help him a lot, although I imagine his English after 10 months now should be good
I am guessing we make 2-3 buys this summer and a lot more sales
With the 4-3-3 Poch likes to play I think the team is built around Eriksen, Lamela, Sandro, and hopefully Lloris going forward

United owner Malcolm Glazer has died, according to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Quote:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are saddened to announce the passing of Owner/President Malcolm Glazer earlier this morning at the age of 85.
A dynamic business leader, Glazer helped mold the Buccaneers into a model franchise and one respected league-wide. Since being purchased by Glazer in 1995, the Buccaneers franchise has earned seven playoff berths, five playoff wins, and captured its first Super Bowl championship in 2002.
In 2005, Glazer purchased Manchester United. Since then, the club captured five Premier League titles (2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013), as well as the 2008 Champions League title.
|
won't change a thing at United though because the guy has like 636 siblings and children who are all somehow involved at the club.

Liverpool supposedly have agreed a fee of 4 mil plus add ons for Ricky Lambert. I like the move if it goes through. He's a quality, experienced player who will be happy with a role as a squad player to finish out the last couple years of his career with his boyhood club.

13 year-Old Calgary Soccer Stud Suiting Up For World-Class [sic] Chelsea FC
30 May 2014
Metro News
Bryan Weismiller
Thirteen-year-old soccer sensation Joey Cowlishaw has inked a deal with one of the world’s most prestigious football clubs.
The Calgary-trained Cowlishaw had been auditioning for a spot on Chelsea FC since last Christmas. And earlier this month, the young footballer and his family were called to meet with the clubs’ higher-ups to sign a full-time deal.
It was a huge relief for the Cowlishaws who’d been waiting on tenterhook.

Confirmed: Wenger Signs New Arsenal Deal
30 May 2014
Arseblog News
Arseblog News Hound
Arsenal have confirmed that Arsene Wenger has finally put pen-to-paper on a new contract that will keep him at the club for another three-years.
The extension, which is believed to have been agreed as far back as the autumn and is worth approximately £24 million in total, means the 64-year-old could be at the helm until summer 2017 - a ridiculously impressive 21 year shift in North London.
Speaking about his decision to stay on at the Emirates the boss underlined that his commitment to the club was never in doubt.
“I want to stay and to continue to develop the team and the club. We are entering a very exciting period. We have a strong squad, financial stability and huge support around the world. We are all determined to bring more success to this club.

This is the second local schoolboy. Great news. Surely, both will quickly move on to careers for other countries, as they exhaust their efforts with the CSA.
The first, I recall was older -- what ever happened to him, after the trials with Real, Arsenal etc;?

A lady I work with here had one of her kids get a tryout with Benfica or something as well, but no clue how it went.
