Gulitti is usually a pretty good source, so I thought I'd share it. Not sure how he'd believe there'd be no discipline since the plays in question will be looked at today, there still could be some sort of punishment.
Head-butts are pretty serious offenses, you'd think he'd get something for it.
Maybe a game or two most likely. Patrick Kaleta only got 4 games for his third time headbutting. I think Bourque should get just a fine or nothing. He can use self defense as a rebuttal. Dorset was running around and being a jackass on the faceoffs all night.

That 2 games is pretty fair and to be expected. No issue with Moore's suspension. I can't believe absolutely nothing for Dorsett, that blows my mind. Totally a contact to the head and about as blatant a headbutt as I have ever seen.
Only the NHL could get it right and wrong in the same game. Spin on wheel, spin on.
Pretty much expected on Moore. Disappointed the headbutt didn't even draw a fine, at least then it would be on his record.

The NHL discipline committee is incompetent at understanding reality. No punishment for Dorsett for headbutting, potentially a serious injury, but the league fines Lundqvist $5000.00 for emptying a water bottle full of water on Sydney Crosby. Something is wrong here.

Pretty surprised he only got two games, but what do I know. I truly thought the headshot merited more. I'm guessing this means there was no concussion on the play?

I'm guessing it would have been more during the regular season, but since he got 5 and a game after it happened and his team went on to lose I bet that factored into it. So it really got more than what Prust got.
Still wish the punishments were more severe, especially with headshots.

Why? Prust got only two games for essentially the same hit so it was a no-brainer as predicted. If they had some stones and gave Prust 5 ghames then Moore would have got 5 games but when you set a poor precedent with the first suspension you are locked into it for the duration of that series as the optics would look horrible if the NHL punishes one team more than the other for what amounts to the same late, high hit. Habs still come out ahead because they got a 5 minute powerplay where the Rangers didn't.

Rangers definitely got screwed for not getting a major (or any penalty) called on the Prust hit.
Or two minutes for interference like some Habs fans put it. I guess they hit Moore too hard then according to their "fair" standads.
You know people would probably value your opinion more if you could be less whiny about it. Had you presented it something like "I still feel that Prust should have got 5 and a game, or at least 2 for interference. If you compare the two hits they were very similar and I think the NHL was too hard on Moore according to their "standards".
Your post reads more like Canuck fan than a rational adult.

Aren't you whining about his post? We have gone down this road with people whining about posters they consider whining and it just sidetracks the thread. Just let it go and let posters have their say. We can all get along.
Whatever you say EE, keep fighting the good fight. I make one comment out of 1356 posts, and probably 99% of them are not constructive to this series.
Mods probably should just lock this thread anyway, most people posting in it can't even talk about the series constructively without complaining/fighting. I'm done here, enjoy game 6.

It's nothing personal or anything but you complaining about another poster's post isn't exactly constructive in itself. There is constructive talk in this thread but as with any thread where there is two opposing opinions (Habs fans & Habs haters) there will be a divide. This thread is a little different from your typical Canucks playoffs thread because the Habs actually have some fans outside of their province so the dislike for them is not as unison as it is for the Canucks. That doesn't change that fact that many of us despise the Habs nearly as much as the Canucks so expecting everyone to be holding hands singing "Ole Ole" simply isn't realistic. Take the good with the bad and respond to the posts that you think are constructive as the more people that do that the more the tread will head into that direction.
