Also from earlier, Dallas will be not be signing 2nd round pick Mike Winther. That's a stinger for an org http://starsblog.dallasnews.com/2014...contract.html/

I would have said Aberg but I see that he has been signed. I would take a flyer on Thrower. He was considered a Bieksa lite at the time.

Pronman doesn't think Thrower is worth a contract.

Corey Pronman ‏@coreypronman
Vail maybe, Thrower no. RT @snakeorange: @coreypronman Montreal has not signed Brady Vail and Dalton Thrower are they worth a contract? Thx

Given his scouting report for the 2012 draft, surely he's worth a seventh rounder. Cross our fingers and hope he shakes the injury bug and adds some size?

I wonder how many times Pronman saw Thrower live...

Use a seventh OR get him as a UFA and draft someone younger in the seventh round?

Spoiler!
What about Jaynen Rissling. He's big and has pretty good numbers in the WHL.

Rissling was traded to the Predators for a 7th rounder about a month ago and they signed him to an ELC - http://predators.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=715995

check post #43 for a more up-to-date list (minus Pokka, Karlsson and Ullmark).

Kings sign Ebert

Jon Rosen @lakingsinsider
Nick Ebert signed to ELC, as expected. Puck moving D taken w/ last pick in '12 had 53 points in 65 games with Windsor, OHL champion Guelph.

Ebert is an interesting case - was thought to be a 1st round prospect heading into his draft year, had a brutal year and then as noted was the last guy picked.

I'd want to take a stab at Thrower... Only because our defensive depth could use some work.

Don't have link right off, but read earlier today Habs working to get Dalton Thrower signed.

Dallas won't sign 2nd rounder Mike Winther and some of the 3rd/4th rounders are also still unsigned

too bad that Jesse Graham is so small ... if he was a bit bigger/stronger, he'd be worth a shot
