I picked Bennett as he is by far the best option at #4. If it was Draisatal there, then you might have to look at Dal Colle.
I honestly think that Bennett will go to Buffalo at #2, leaving Reinhart at #4 to Calgary, but I would be happy with either Sam

I'll pick Bennett, but like most have said he will probably go #2. Still think there is a chance that the flames trade up to 2 to take Bennett. I could see Buffalo wanting Dal Colle and at #2 could be a stretch. They would also probably have to draft before the Islanders (#5) to get him.

I voted Bennett as at #4 and the remaining players on this poll, he is the obvious choice.
However, I feel like there was a lot of wishful thinking and hoping Buffalo would take Reinhart so that Bennett could drop to Calgary at #4 as there is speculation Edmonton is seeking out Draisaitl. Although the poll was close, I feel like Reinhart would have won it if we did not let wishful thinking sway our vote.
Also Draisaitl was the clear winner pick at #3 on this poll which surprised me as Bennett was still available. Sources say Edmonton is seeking out Draisaitl but I feel like that is because they feel like Bennett and Ekblad will be gone with picks 1/2.
I feel like the draft will go as follows, (as my account was just activated I couldn't vote in previous polls):
1 FLA - Ekblad
2 BUF - Bennett
3 EDM - Draisaitl
4 CGY - Reinhart
Or:
1: Ekblad
2: Reinhart
3: Bennett
4: Draisaitl or Dal Colle as I am unsure.
Hoping Bennett somehow falls to us. I just don't see EDM passing on him, however I do see them passing on Reinhart.
My rankings of players:
1) Ekblad
2) Bennett
3) Reinhart
4) Draisaitl or Dal Colle (i'm unconvinced)
I would be pretty happy with any of those 5 players, but would be ecstatic to get one of the top three.

Could somebody explain to me why everybody thinks Buffalo will take Reinhart and not Bennett? Explain why Reinhart is better than Bennett in their eyes?
And by everybody I mean the majority of the #2 poll http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=137384

And since when has Reinhart fell so far in any draft rankings list not to be taken #2? Only because Bennett took over the #1 spot at the end of the season on Central Scoutings list?
Fact is for me, I feel Buffalo has enough grit and energy in their center depth and not enough elite playmaking skill in their prospect pool. Reinhart fills that need for them.
Seems to me that more than a few posters think the other way because the Flames have Samson's brother and are projecting their views more to fit their own desire to get Samson.
Bottom line is none of us know in any amount of certainty how the top four picks will pan out until they are in fact made on draft day.
EDIT: What is interesting though is the Reinhart fans are actually trying to argue the results of the poll by refuting it with the same wishful thinking comments they themselves are victims of. Again, draft day will tell all.

I will break things if the Flames draft Dal Colle. I have seen him play a lot and he will be a frustrating player in the NHL much like Joe Colborne is, just not as tall.
Colborne could still develop into a 2nd liner but doubtful. He will be a good 3rd liner and so will Dal Colle imo. If it comes down to him or the German it is a no brainer to draft the German kid.

Agreed. If Reinhart and Bennett aren't there, I hope beyond regard that we draft Draisaitl. It seems like a pretty obvious choice if that is the case. Draisaitl is my personal favourite in the draft next to Reinhart.

Dal Colle is a better skater, has better hands, and has an elite shot.
I don't see the resemblance at all.
To me, Draisaitl is closer to Colborne than MDC.

Draisaitl has nothing in common with Colborne.

...and neither does Dal Colle?
That's my point. It's a bad comparison. Neither are like Colborne, but if we're talking about a big bodied centre who isn't physical and who has consistency issues, Draisaitl is the closer comparison.

Slightly OT but it would make for a more interesting poll to just put Dal Colle vs Draisaitl. See where CP stands if the Sams and Ekblad are gone by our spot.

Dal Colle is about the same skating wise, does not have better hands, does have a better shot. He also does not use his size much like Colborne. Again, obvious you have never seen him play outside of a highlight package.

You are right, I have never seen the guy play in person, I have watched him on tv and I liked what I saw more than Dal Colle.

Have you? Comparing him in any way to Colborne is silly, they do not play the same type of game at all. That's like comparing Gaudreau to Nigal Dawes

Well, agree to disagree then. The only comparisons I see are two large bodied players that aren't overly vicious in their playing style. Pretty superficial similarities if you ask me.
