Bizarre is oilers fans sitting down to take in some great video

I, for one, just can't wait until even more people will be able to go see the flames destroy the oilers 8-1.

I have a strong personal preference and like the fit of the other 3 prospects more. I can't really justify it either other than I have a strong preference to Canadians and hope the speedy/gritty Bennett, strong 2way/high iq Reinhart, or the big Dman Ekblad are flames property over the big pick protecting Drasaitl.
To me it seems like he has a few more question marks about him but also has perhaps the highest ceiling. I for one fully admit I don't watch junior hockey but have read up a lot on the top 4 which has furthered my views that the Sam's/Ekblad are the top of the class

Don't see the big deal. They are tracking oilers prospects and high ranked draft picks, no?

The page is "Oilers at the Worlds"
All those players are Oilers.

If Ekblad drops to us I'd be ecstatic.

I believe in the Jays.

Personally, I wouldn't be disappointed at all if the Flames end up drafting Draisaitl. I think the three forwards are all pretty close. That's not to say they offer the same package of skills but in term of totality of talent you can't go wrong with any of them. May as well put Ekblad into that as well.
I'd probably take Ekblad over the three just due to the current condition of the org depth at the blueline... I believe in taking the BPA but in this circumstance I think they're all so close that you can pick the one that addresses positional scarcity.

I think the oilers would take Ekblad over draisatl. I'd love to have ekblad but getting either Sam is going To be amazing.

We will also provide updates on high-ranked 2014 NHL Draft prospect Leon Draisaitl, who is playing for Germany.

There is no doubt that Edmonton is no good, but I don't see how this is anything at all.

The website also tracked Ryan Murray's progress at the Worlds in 2012. The thought is, if the fans are interested in it then why not provide them that information you would think?

Since Edmonton is no good, it doesn't really matter who they draft. They are going to toss him the keys to the city and at the same time toss him to the wolves. The poor player is going to be ruined by the time his ELC is done.

Except the fact they only have one prospect grouped with their own players like he's Oiler property. You would think they would put an asterisk next to the name or change the font color but nope he's grouped in like he's an Oiler. To an uneducated fan it would appear Draisaitl is an Oiler and that's probably the goal.
This is the kind of stuff the Oilers do as they know full well the peak of their year is between June and September when the stink of last season is somewhat smothered by the excitement of the draft and optimism that surrounds the offseason. It's borderline manipulation as they are purposely hyping up Draisaitl in hopes the fans binge on more Kool-Aid if he's drafted by them which certainly looks very probable.

I agree. Maybe the Oiler's interest in him has tainted him in some poster's eyes?
There are questions surrounding the other two top forward picks as well - Reinhart's skating (which actually tested worse than Draisaitl's) and Bennett might not have the size to play the style that has lead to his junior success.
Draisaitl might end up being a very good pick.

I could easily see Ekblad fall to 3, Edmonton picks him happily. We only hear so much about Draisatl because their media is assuming Ekblad won't be there. Our own draft choice I fear is going to be between Draisatl/Dal Colle.

That's not something to fear. Either of those guys would be an excellent get... I'd rather Draisatl but only because he offers the same talent upside at a more premium position.

But your way doesn't fit the story that I am trying to tell.

True and yet I don't think either is a better prospect than Monahan was... I'm just a little disappointed that we're getting the 4th pick in a below average year.

And you're basing this off??? Nothing?
Okay great, thanks for coming out..
This isn't a draft with a consensus #1 draft pick and the top 4-5 is wide-open. Not sure why you think it's below average.
