I wish the Flames had Brendan Gallagher. I don't care that he's small, he's awesome

Lucic and Marchand were flat out awful.

This is off topic but I just had a Habs fan insinuate that Western teams can't compete against the Eastern teams and used Detroit as his example. Detroit? If it was Detroit from 5 years ago it'd be a different story.

Beginning to look like 1986 and 1993. A really good goalie, spark-plug d-man, supporting a mediocre forward group.

Lucic is the next Bertuzzi incident waiting to happen.

Big dumb beefhead who is always crossing the line but never getting punished for it because he plays for a favored team. It's just a matter of time.

I'd put Cooke ahead of him on that list...

Yeah, I have been saying that for a while. If I had to pick the next player to pull a "Bertuzzi", it would be him.

Even Bertuzzi wasn't as day-to-day dirty as Lucic.

Bertuzzi made a terrible choice with terrible timing. He'd have been better off just suckerpunching Moore in the face.

Lucic makes terrible choices all the time, eventually one of them is going to happen at the wrong time.

Jimmy Murphy@MurphysLaw7412 mins
Was told by two team sources that Zdeno Chara was indeed playing hurt and received shots before Game 7 to kill pain. #BecauseItsTheCup

Jimmy Murphy@MurphysLaw7411 minsDid not confirm Chara's exact injury or injuries but my guess is wrist/arm from slash in Game 3.

I was rooting for the Bruins to win, but I lost a lot of respect by watching Lucic make an ass out of himself in the hand shake line. I hope Neely or Chiarelli has a talking to him about that.

Watch Lucic as he shakes Emelin's hand. Actually, its not even a shake, its a grab and then starts chirping at him. The guy behind Emelin even tells Emelin to move on.

Talking smack to everyone in the line. Violently grabbing every guys' hand instead of shaking it. What a poor sport. Must have been Awkward for Iginla who was right behind him. I wanted Iggy to advance and was rooting for the Bruins, but after watching Lucic I'm glad his team lost. As a hockey fan it GMG to see someone act like that in what is supposed to be a demonstration of sportsmanship for the game he is blessed to play.

If Boston made good on those empty nets and didn't hit the goalpost 12 times I think this series would be very different.

Montreal was lucky to get to game six. If not for Price stealing game one, Boston would be resting up for the Rangers right now.

That being said, the Habs got stronger as the series went on. I didn't think they had much upward movement left after game 4, but they pulled it off.

If the Queen had a dick she'd be King. If Montréal hangs on to win game 2 this series might be over really early as well. Any series that goes to 7 is going to be full of what-ifs, what-is is what's counted.

Why is that? I'm certainly no fan of Harper, but I think that's great. I can support him taking shots at the Leafs/Canucks for choking.

For me the NHL playoffs have mostly become cheering for whoever I dislike less. With Lucic's classless action and guys like Marchand, it justifies me hating the Bruins.

Now it's ABA (anyone but Anaheim).

Lucic should have manned up, shaken his hand and moved on. I sort of understand that the emotions are high and a few minutes earlier they were trying to kill each other. It's hard to turn that tap off, I guess, but still.... Break a few sticks in the dressing room if you must, but don't do that.

And Boston got somewhat lucky and won game four 1-0 or they would have been down 3-1 in the series. Montreal could have won in 5 and they would be resting up for NYR right now.

Goes both ways.

It was evenly matched and Montreal was better later in the series when it really mattered, got better goaltending and more clutch goals from their forwards.

Scoring overall for the series was 20-16 for Montreal so it is not like Boston dominated them all series and Montreal eeked out a bunch of 1 goal wins.
