I would rate Habs as a heavy favourite now to get to the final.
As for the final itself they may win a game or two if lucky.
I like the underdog, makes for a fun story.

They didn't score. Put the puck in the net, that's all.
If you are favourite to win by large margin and you fail, that's on you.
Flames, were lucky in 2004 all the way. When we won vs Van, nobody used the term - we kicked their ass?
There was a time when great Flames teams kept chocking in the playoffs.
Nobody outside of Calgary had any sympathy for them, I got none for Bruins.

Boston rarely held a lead in this series. That's no where near good enough to be worthy of advancing.

Chara ran out of gas. He played so much minutes during the regular season and the playoff that it finally caught up to him. I am making an excuse on why Boston lost but when Chara is off his game, so does the Bruins' defense.
Really though Montreal led by Carey Price and PK Subban showed they can play against the best or any team.

From what I read, Weise didn't go running to the media. He was asked by a reporter what Lucic had said and replied that he wasn't going to repeat it but that it was classless.

I was just responding to you saying the Bruins were lucky it wasn't over earlier...it goes both ways
Habs "fans" are delusional, goalie stole them a series, nothing wrong with it but no point in denying it. Flames rode Kipper to the finals in 04 I had no problem with that just calling a spade a spade

A couple games ago I criticized Iggy's defensive game and I was a "stupid Habs fan"
Now I'm honest about how the series when and I'm a huge Bruins fan
Can't win, I'm out...Rangers and Habs can fight it out for the 29th overall pick

Iginla was making mistakes earlier in the series.
He was good today.
Bruin fans are giving him hard time right now.

When expectations meet reality. Boston needs to shake things up to get back to the finals I think

The punks got what they deserved, the boot.
Hopefully, this will reduce the temptation for other teams to copy the Bruin model.

I lost a lot of respect for Boston this series, they've taken on Julien's whiny persona to a T, especially Lucic. Big burly baby, whined about something every time on the ice. And I have no idea how you criticize Weiss on the handshake issue, that's all on super ###### Lucic. I've played close to 20 years of beer leagues hockey and not once had another player threaten to kill me or heard of a player threaten to kill another. That's about as bush as you can go especially in the line up.
Full props to Montreal, they were the better team.

Markov and Emelin also deserve a lot of credit. Apart from a few defensive miscues, they were a solid pairing.

Emelin clearly got under Lucic's skin as well.

Nope. Habs fans can still shut up. Geez Bruins played bad this series.

Always easy to throw poop after an outcome like this
Quote:
There was something else notable about that Game 7 in 2012. Lucic played 19:50 without a shot on goal. He nearly duplicated that performance Wednesday with zero shots in 17:51 of ice time.
Think about that. Two Game 7s. Two losses at home. A healthy 37:40 of ice time and zero shots on goal. And he's set to make $6 million next season.
"Frustrating," he said. "We lost. We let our fans down when we had a great opportunity with a team like this. Like I said, it’s a tough one to swallow."
But Lucic was most angry at what was said by Montreal in the post-game handshake line. He reportedly told Dale Weise: "I'm going to [expletive] kill you next year."
Too bad he didn't feel that way about the puck. Glad to see Looch's priorities are in order. How about a vow to take a shot the next time he's playing a Game 7?
