Yet we don't sell alcohol at 7-11, even though it's legal. Even though it's legal right now, I can't go buy a 26 of Gin at 7-11.
Where is your god now?

Nobody in this thread is suggesting that cocaine (or meth or heroin) be legalized and sold by the government. Don't confuse that with the proposed legalization of marijuana. What we're proposing is that rather than spending billions of taxpayer dollars each year on the war on drugs (targeting the supply side of illicit substances), we instead spend a small fraction of that amount on harm reduction strategies that will improve the health and well-being of hard drug users with the ultimate goal of helping them beat their addiction (targeting the demand side of illicit substances).

They chose to, no one forced them. We don't have to choose to sell drugs at 7-11 just like we chose not to sell alcohol.

No, I just have a basic understanding of causation vs. correlation. That and I've actually read numerous academic articles and studies that compare North American drug policies to various European models. Seriously, did you even finish grade 12?

I am for legalizing more than pot because I would like to see the government step in and regulate what is being added to heroin, cocaine, etc., stuff like levamisole which is actually more harmful than the drug itself.

It's pretty funny how, despite so much goddamn research on the topic in the last 20 years, anti-intellectualism still runs rampant with regards to this issue because people can't understand that their logic is flawed.

Even though legalized and government approved marijuana may cost more than buying illegally, I think you'll find people flocking to do safe and secure transactions. It's the exact same as going to a reputable store instead of buying from someones trunk. You pay a premium for peace of mind and a stable transaction. I'm not a drug user at all, but this just makes sense to me in the case of marijuana.

In the era of anti-vaxxers and climat change-denial, are we really that surprised? Although I do kind of forget that people like puckluck actually exist until they come crawling out the woodwork with their completely uninformed nonsense and then I realize why we're where we are.
