There was this TV show I used to watch that had puppets and real-life characters. It wasn't Fraggle Rock, though. I remember it being on CBC or CTV or something. One story line had the characters transported to some island by some puppet witch. There was a boy and a girl and some puppets. It was more of a serious show for younger kids. Well...it was serious to me, anyway. Anyone who can remember the name gets a "Thanks"!
An original blast from the past.Yes, thats me (be nice, gang) on a Calgary original TV show, The Dale Harney Magic Show. I was the lucky winner of a 3 speed bike. complete with ape hangers, banana seat and sissy bar. Wahoooo

Video Hits - I remember coming home from school and putting this on to see the latest videos from Bryan Adams, Glass Tiger and Gowan. Who am I kidding? Gowan sucked.

Fair enough, the true must haves were either a factory Kuwahara, or a Diamond Back Silver Streak, or Pacer 500. They were kinda the Ferrari or Lambo of BMX bikes. The Raleigh was a much more affordable bike that most kids parents could afford and most kids had and that's why I posted that instead.
For the record, I was incredibly lucky to get a Diamond Back Pacer 500, and treated that bike like it was a $200k Ferrari. It was my most prized possession ever, and will never forget the day my dad bought it for me as a surprise. I get choked up every time I think of the circumstances.
This was the beast I rode.

The Kuwahara / Mongoose / Redline / Diamond Back rivalry was like Smartphones of today.
