Wifes a niners fan, long weekend, anniversary weekend too...might be a good anniversary gift idea

Gotta say, I'm liking the Eagles' schedule so far this year. Tough road games against Indy, SF, GB, and Arizona, but only home games against teams with winning records this year are Seattle and Carolina, and I'm thinking Carolina takes a step back this year.

No love from the schedule makers for the Seahawks. Week four bye is way too early. They come off the bye on MNF . Carolina on the road for the third straight year.
And the last five weeks will be brutal. San Fran at new Levis Stadium, on the road in Philadelphia, 49ers at home, at Cardinals, then Rams at the Clink to finish. Won't be easy.
Better home schedule for the fans this year though. Green Bay in the season opener. Superbowl rematch is the second home game. Plus the Cowboys and Giants later in the year.

The week 4 bye is the worst...last year Seattle had the last bye week, and being at the end is better then the beginning.
I am guessing Seattle will get flexed into a bunch more games, as the flexing starts earlier in the season this year.
There was an article at PFT ( http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...cent-blowouts/) saying that the Seahawks were scheduled by the NFL to be on the road in their primetime games (other then the tradition Superbowl Champion starting at home to kick off the NFL season) because of the blowouts in the last 5 of last 6 regular season primetime home games (SF 2x, Rams, Saints, Eagles). Many other teams have 3 games at home in primetime (Broncos, Cowboys and a couple others).
Also of note, Scot McLoughlin who left as SF's GM a few years back for family reasons, was assistant GM the last few years at Seattle, again has to quit for family reasons.
Also, in an odd move, the team (yes, team) made the announcement yesterday that Russell Wilson is getting divorced.

I don't understand why these guys get married. Wait until your career is done.

It's not like everyone pro athlete that does get married doesn't stick with their partner for the long haul. If anything, this was the case of getting married to early like many do since he's been in a relationship with the girl prior to his life changing by becoming an NFL player. (I assume)

So how impossible/expensive would it be to get a ticket to Week 1 - Packers at Seahawks? There's a chance we may be in Seattle that week...

I paid three times face on the NFL ticket exchange for the MNF Seattle/New Orleans game last season, but there were lots for sale.
edit: looks like they're pretty steep for this one, but available.

It was a pretty cool experience, don't regret the price at all.

Not impossible but expensive and getting pricier. Aftermarket Seahawk tickets have essentially doubled from two seasons ago (ref. StubHub) depending upon where you are in the stadium. Premium seats (Charter and Wells Fargo) between the 40's have moved from $350 - $500 to averaging around $1000. It's insane. Like nik- said, there are currently 300 level seats on StubHub between $300 - $400 USD for the Green Bay game and up from there.

Additionally, a lot of those seats are higher up, but so were mine.
This was the view from the top third of the top deck. Section 309, the view is good even high up.
Spoiler for size.

And after all that angst, they went ahead and picked up the 5th year option.

I believe in the Jays.

Lots of talk from the 'experts' that the QBs are dropping down the draft boards, especially Bridgewater. Some are saying he could drop out of the first round altogether. I highly doubt that's actually the case, but if the Texans could grab Clowney at #1, and Teddy at #33, that would be a dream start to the draft.

A game like that may be a once in a lifetime experience if you are a SeaHawks fan. So expect to pay more. Start looking now on the NFL ticket exchange and Stub Hub. Campare prices in the different sections on the different sites. Tickets will be expensive, however you will be able to find a "bargain" if you are willing to brouse over all the listings? Someone is always listing tickets lower than the people who are just listing to make a quick buck.

Not much draft talk around here this year. In the past we've always done a mock I think. Its too late for that this year.
Looking forward to the draft myself. I think it is wide open and we could see some major fireworks on Thursday night.

I blame the NFL for pushing it back so far. Having it at the beginning of April there is pretty much nothing else sharing the attention of the sports world. Now the MLB is in full swing, the NBA and NHL playoffs are getting interesting, and I'm sure there's some NASCAR, golf, and tennis happening somewhere.

Not as many compelling storylines this year? The Clowney situation hasn't really changed much in the past year, no clearcut franchise QB's, no big trades? I'm interested to see who picks up Johnny Football though (and with what pick).
Watched Gruden's QB Camp and I'm not really sold on Bortles at QB. Then the whole Bridgewater glove issue at his Pro Day. I'd rather drop down and take a guy like Aaron Murray (been loosely following him since high school and think he could be a starter on Sundays).

Well, it's really only been pushed back a couple of weeks.
I guess when you look at this draft, there really aren't a whole lot of sexy players coming out this year. Nobody gets overly excited about defensive players and linemen. The QB's are underwhelming, nobody cares about RB's anymore and there are only a couple of high end WR's in this draft.
I think Manziel is the most compelling story...and maybe what Cleveland does.
I'm hoping the Broncos can get Ryan Shazier at 31. Hearing they might want to try and trade up for Mosley or Gilbert though.
