I really want Bennett, I've been obsessed with him for months now but you really can't go wrong with any of the guys in the supposed top four. I just feel bad to whoever gets picked by the Oilers, you know they're going to ruin his development. Bennett is probably a guy who needs another year in the CHL, if drafted by the Oilers he'll be penciled into the line up minutes after being drafted.

Exactly. If you have two equivalent prospects go for the one that fits your team better. They have no good D-men outside of Gudbranson, so Ekblad makes as much sense for them as it would for either Edmonton or us.

Add in their center depth and it virtually becomes a no brainer.

Maybe the reason they'd take Draisaitl is because he's closer to being NHL ready.

People were saying the same thing about the Avs not selecting a Centre last year at this time.

It's been a split the whole season. There is definitely a chance FLA has Reinhart as their consensus #1 and BPA. If they do they select him. He is a better prospect than any of their centres bar maybe Barkov.

Difference is in the CHL playoffs MacKinnon clearly separated himself from Jones as number one and they switched management just before the draft.
