"I'm going to hit you so hard your brother will feel it"

Thought that was just a joke.

He's not paralyzed, he didn't even leave the building.

Well he was moving his arms and he hasn't gone to the hospital, so he likely isn't paralysed or seriously injured.

Not sure why people are saying Daniel turned at the last second. Looks like he was already facing the boards and then Byron hit him from behind.

Exactly why you don't turn your back to someone after you LOOK and see them coming, even then it wasn't a full on behind hit. It's not a hit where the blame is all on the HITTER, it was both of them.

She was right on the money. I wipe my ass with toilet paper that has more grit than the Sedins. Sorry son, Sedin put himself in a position to get hurt by the smallest player in the NHL on a less than vicious hit. Joke play. If it was turned around the other way you'd be saying the exact same thing.

That's assuming they are correct that he didn't go to the hospital yet.
Daniel is Henrik's twin and their season and this game is meaningless already so I can understand him wanting to find out the status of his brother. He is worried.

Not a great hit by Byron, but Sedin saw the hit coming and turned his back anyway. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Saying that he should be suspended for that, because that was a hit in a very dangerous location. Great example of how you don't need to be a big player to possibly seriously injure someone when their back is facing you by the boards.

Think more hits from behind should be suspendable because every hit from behind in the boards could result in this. That's why it's such a dangerous play.
I disagree. I'm actually shocked that was more than a 2 minute minor... If that gets supplemental discipline I'll be surprised.

I've sort of been wondering about this, but jesus, there are a lot of scratches right now. I thought there was a limit to how many guys can be with the team to get scratched? Anyone know how this works?

CALGARY FLAMES SCRATCHES
Kenny Agostino
Mikael Backlund
TJ Brodie
Mike Cammalleri
Markus Granlund
David Jones
Ladislav Smid
Bryce Van Brabant
Dennis Wideman
Tyler Wotherspoon

Agreed. But I'd still draft the forward with the 1st pick. And spend the other 5 on defensemen!

Dumb play be Sedin to carelessly go towards the boards, and a dumb play by Byron to assume Sedin would protect himself and not let up.

Argument over...

Are you purposely behind stupid?

You don't follow through when somebody else is in a vulnerable position. PERIOD You could easily do other things like poke check. Turn and hit boards at same time. There more responsible ways, and if Byron isn't smart/skilled enough to that then he can sit and think about it for a long time.
