He will sign and play, and therefore not be eligible to play for heat, as he was not signed by trade deadline.
Arnold, whose contract sounds like would start next year, could sign a try out contract with Heat and play in playoffs.

It depends on when his NHL contract starts.
He could sign one that starts next season and go to Abbotsford on an ATO, but it sounds like they want him to sign one that starts this season, which would allow him to play in Vancouver on Sunday, but he wouldn't eligible to go to Abbotsford.

FWIW, there aren't any direct flights from YYC to Philadelphia... so it's a chartered plane... likely just the one carrying Conroy et al?

The same plane was in Boston two weeks ago when BC played the first round of the NCAA tournament in Worcester, MA.
