Would have been nice to see the Canucks eliminated tonight, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Kings have played like ass tonight.

I hear lots of talk about the Kings winning the Cup this year... I don't see it. They have so much trouble scoring goals.

David Booth hot streak = 5 games. Cold Streak - last 2/3 years.

Boo!

Now, we have to wait for Dallas to beat Florida tomorrow for the Nucks to be eliminated.

I want them to have faint hope right up until next week when they play EDM and CGY. Probably not going to happen but it would be fun to watch their misery spread out for the whole week.

They're playing Florida?

That's about as automatic as wins come.

Daniel and Henrik looked pretty good tonight.

Healey blasted Torts for not starting the Sedins on the same line.

I'd love it if Sportsnet could steal Rick Ball to be the Flames full time play-by-play man. He's really solid.

I used to joke with my father that Keenan was the "split the Sedins" kind of crazy in his line juggling.

Turns out Torts is just as bad.

Just play him with a competent partner.

QoC rel Corsi
1. Phaneuf 2.150
2. Gunnar 2.010
3. Josi 1.938
4. Weber 1.844
5. Hjalmersson 1.744
6. Oduya 1.700
7. Carlson 1.622
8. Hedja 1.596
9. Chara 1.577
10. OEL 1.528

Dion faces the toughest minutes in the entire NHL. The guy needs a break.

to be honest, phaneuf's play, his numbers, were all actually pretty good (he was amongst the +/- best amongst the eastern conference till quite late in the year before the leaf plunge).

He's not a #1 guy, but if you take #1 guy type money home, are the captain of the leafs, you just can't be average, and he has been (flat out bad over the past month). There is more wrong with the leafs than just #3. Their play with the puck in their own zone is oiler'esque. it really feels as though one in every two breakout passes go to the opposition's forecheckers.

I am really curious what the leafs do with their dcore this summer. ranger's gotta go, gunnarson is quite hit or miss, and then they have some skillset redundancy in reilly and gardiner who aren't great defensive players but can bring a boatload of offensive opportunity through their skating and vision.

pretty content with the leaf meltdown. Nonis is just a terrible GM. he sucked in vancouver, and since burke left TO, he has made a team that looked to being on the path to improvement be one of the biggest failure stories of the NHL season.

And does terribly against it.

Dion is just gassed. He needs help. He can be a fine #1 with the right assistance. His numbers were indeed very good before this collapse.

Phaneuf is garbage and always has been. At least before he used to hit and we'd all love him. Now he plays like Alexander Semin and refuses to fight. What a crappy captain. My Leaf fan friends can't stand him either and they're the most kool-aid drinking Leaf fans out there.
