Bruins vs Flyers at 11. Hope it is as good as last week when these two teams played. No iggy in the lineup.

Too bad the Jets are starting Pavelec tonight. Would have liked to see them put another nail in the Leafs playoff hopes

It is a very busy day in the NHL.

There are three matinees.

in the USA

at

This could be a first round match up and it is a terrific
rivalry. It is 4-2 in the third period for the Bruins. Two
quick goals by the Bruins have put them ahead for good.
Big loss for the Flyers.

The Avalanche lead 3-0 over the Blues in the second period
from the Scottrade Centre in St. Louis. It was scoreless after
one period.

1500h---Capitals at Islanders
The Capitals are still in the playoff race but need help.
The Flyers losing does help.

The Jets have Evander Kane as a healthy scratch, which does not make any sense, unless rumors of him drinking a bit too much at last night's Raptors game, and missing curfew are true. Either way, I am beginning to believe Kane will be traded away in the off season..

At 1700h

it is a three way split telecast

Viewers from Newfoundland to Quebec will see this game.

The game is also on across Canada

and in the USA

The Red Wings are playing much better and look
like a playoff team. Both teams are hot in their past
ten games, the Habs are 8-2-0 and the Red Wings
have one point less in that span. Original Six game!

Backes tackled Mackinnon for absolutely no reason and drove him into the ice, and started punching him while he was down. Hopefully the kid is okay, but he cracked his head on the ice.

- Mackinnon back, good.

Backes is scum on the ice.

Two clinching scenarios can happen and one of them has as jschick88 has mentioned.

The Predators can be eliminated from the playoff race if they lose in regulation to the Sharks.

The Canucks can also be eliminated if they lose to the Kings in regulation.

Rumors out of Toronto suggest that Evander Kane may have broken curfew, after attending the Raptors NBA game (perhaps partied afterwards, as he was seen drinking by several at the Raptors game). That, combined with the lawsuit just filed in BC, could mean the end of his playing days in Winnipeg. Kane is rumored to have developed a reputation of being a locker room poison, and may not have the maturity level to play in such a small hockey-crazed market such as Winnipeg, where every place an NHL player goes outside of the rink, you are treated as a celebrity.

I could see New York or Los Angeles being a potential destination if a trade is made.

Due to this new development, expect the Jets to easily defeat the Leafs, and knock them out of the playoffs.

He needs to get sent somewhere he won't be in the spotlight. Yandle for Kane probably would work value wise but Winnipeg has no need for Yandle.

What source out of Toronto?

The only thing I've seen is a twitter post by someone and then two posters from hfboards which is as unreliable as you could probably get.

1-0 Isles after the first.

Islanders controlled the play for that period.

Washington looked Edmonton bad.
