Well to be fair, you should get thrown out for tossing a jersey on the ice.

It's absolutely pathetic that the Oilers play "shots" during fights.

Even their music guy is no good.

But it's almost a tradition now, like throwing an octopus onto the ice in Detroit.

Well like I said before, they should throw an octopus too, to symbolize 8 years out of the playoffs.

Yeah, but how can they continue that tradition next year? Is there an animal that has nine legs?

I guess they could toss a dead cat on the ice. But then what do they do for 10...11...12?

They'll just refer to it as 8 years out every year, just like the rebuild that started in 2007 is still being referred to as "year 5"

I love when they blast the music to drown out the boos.

"No Mr. Katz, the fanbase is patient, we're all good, they love us. Trust me, I know a little something about winning.

I'd completely forgotten the Flames lost today, I was enjoying the Oilers game so much.

They've 'turned the corner' more than most Nascar teams.

Great post game comments from Hall and Eakins on That's Hockey 2 Nite.

First, Hall says that they're not scoring enough and even Florida has scored more goals than the Oilers. I'm not sure why he picked Florida to single out, especially since there are 23 teams that have outscored the Oilers, and Florida isn't one of them. Then, he goes on to say that their problem is that they're playing defence too much and with the skill they have (HA!), they should be controlling the puck more and scoring more.

Cut to Eakins saying there's a misconception that the Oilers are a skilled offensive team. "This is not a high-powered offensive team. It's not. The history over the last four or five years shows that."

Way to be on the same page, guys.

I agree. 6 is the magic number. Lowe has six rings. They've been bad longer than that though.

Deep sixed. Looks great!

Man I'm starting to feel bad for those kids >< they've been completely ruined. Why is Hall commenting on the losses? Where's the leadership? Jeez they're a long way from doing anything resembling winning
