the lack of effort is embarrassing. When I played sports, if you were a terrible team you still fought hard to the end because your job would be at risk and your coach would be evaluating you.
Clearly with the young guns running that team, they're going to laz around and collect their paycheck until they can leave.
The lack of leadership is strong on that team.
