This is all quite funny.
I'm fine with any thread anyone wants to make, and I believe that it is all in good fun, but there is an element of hubris at play here. I mean, have fun if it is what blows your hair back, but keep it light, cause the Flames are a pretty poor NHL team by any measure, and a Calgary is No Good thread would be just as easy to make and just as funny to read for some people.
Imagine if a Blackhawks or Bruins fan came to the board and saw all these threads on the first page? Kinda like the pot calling the kettle black.

Yeah I bet that week of summer is pretty killer over there.

Over where in Calgary? I live in Calgary and summer sucks. Great city, but summers that require a jacket every day are not good.
I'm out of this dim wit thread. Trolls gonna troll.

This thread isn't necessary. Winnipeg is irrelevant, they haven't done anything to deserve unwarranted hate from the fanbase of a non-rival . Might as well make a "Nashville is no good" thread since the Predators are basically in the same boat as Winnipeg.

For me, the Vancouver and Edmonton threads are hilarious because I hate both of those teams so goddamn much. But as far as the Jets are concerned, I'm completely indifferent to them. I don't hate them, and I don't like them either. They're just...there. This thread won't get anywhere near as epic as the other two.

Sorry this thread sucks. We can derive schadenfreude from Vancouver and Edmonton sucking because they are our bitter rivals. This just feels like poking fun.

Visit the Winnipeg Airport and buy a ticket to anywhere else in the world.

Except Predator fans aren't near the same level of d bags that Jets fans are.
Maybe if Preds fans come to CP begging for all of us to love them and posting garbage about how great the Preds are we can make a Preds are no good thread.

They're not even a rival.
This would make as much sense as a "Nashville is no good" thread.
Let's wait until we at least play 10 games against this team.

Let's be honest about it. I read that bumped thread and there was a lot of strange hostility against Winnipeg and Jets fans. This is a calgary forum so that's fine but let's not pretend Jets fans en masse came in and acted the fool. Seems pretty obvious that there's a lot of bizarre hate on for Winnipeg here.
I know where I am and this is a Calgary based forum but it's also for NHL talk. And being able to see some people move the goal posts from "never gonna happen" to "let's see how how renewals go" and now that 3 year commitments are 96% with 8000 on a wait list there's still doubt. This team isn't going anywhere.
It's nice to see a lot if posters call out the Mindless Winnipeg hate. Lots of us were Flames fans not long ago and still support them.

Yep, I remember the hate even began to flow before it even became official Winnipeg was getting another team. Can't really blame Jets fans for bringing up positive things on here to make the haters look silly.

About as silly as Winnipeg apologists look when they bring up a world class city like Nashville in comparison.

I don't mind their team. Their fans are just genuinely happy to have hockey back and some posters want to share their happiness with their western Canadian brethren they don't really have a rivalry with.
Some posters for whatever reason have been so abrasive and hostile to Jets fans here not sure why.

When I get to the point of actually hoping the Jets would make the playoffs some annoying/needy Jets fan shows up here and makes me hate them all over again.

Jets fans in the 80s were just as annoying as Oiler fans and far worse than Canuck fans. This new breed of jets fan seems to living up to there past. The last couple jets visits to the saddledome have seen more fights in the stands than any other games in many years. If you don't hate jet fans yet, you will soon.
Winnipeg is no good.

I never compared either but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize they're comparing how much people here should care about either team and not the actual city.

Hawerchuk shouldn't have tried to jump around Macoun. He exposed himself to injury with a defenseman known for stepping up at the blue line. If you thought that was dirty you should have seen Messier sucker punch Macoun and break his jaw. That was dirty! Macoun on Hawerchuk was just bad timing.
