I hate "combined" words (is there a term for this?).

ie, frenemies, freecycle, guestimate, etc. Pretty much guaranteed to make you sound like an idiot.

Portmanteau is the word you're looking for. That's my good deed for the day.

I think it started with Bob and Doug Mckenzie "Beauty Eh!"

That would have been late 70's, early 80's

I think the worst is people that think they sound clever when they describe something as "Horawful"

Staycation really GMG.

And when people see an emotional video and say "that gets me right in the feels." Ugh. Maybe I'm getting old.

Damn, my iPhone battery sucks lately, "Oh well you should've bought a Samsung, they're a lot better for blah blah blah blah" Yeah neato bro, cool story.

iPhone/Android, Playstation/Xbox, Mac/Windows, whatever. Everyone has to be an expert over what's better and why. How about, if you want to spend a pile of money on a tiny piece of technology, you just pick whatever you like and let everyone else do the exact same thing. Oh your Samsung has interchangeable batteries? Sweet, life must be pure bliss for you. Keep living the dream.
Which Iphone? Because changing the battery yourself is pretty easy

5, but if I need to access the back then no can do. I smashed the glass on the back all to hell so I glued a dope looking wood cover on the back, thus, the actual back will never see the light of day.

My Phone is pretty much just hanging on for the ride at this point.

when there is a nice video or something touching and people write "damn onions".

I was driving on a highway, when a truck ahead of me threw a cup of shelled sunflower seeds out his window and showered my car. What the ####!?

I will piggyback on this one and add:

"I just spit my drink on my keyboard"
"You owe me a new keyboard"
etc

Be sure to add "literally" in there for full gear grinder points.

Time to write a polite letter, since I have never seen the person and don't know who they are.
Turns out it's a woman, wrote her a note and she replied it wasn't her. A couple weeks later a big dent shows up.

Fast forward to today, car is keyed. Coincidence? I think not. What a crap way to start the morning, pretty annoyed.

Should it be in that order though? I feel like if I amputate her feet first, she won't be able to stop me from setting her car on fire.

But if you start the fire first, you can cauterize the stumps on the hood of the car.

The amount of "ZOMG LOOK AT ALL THIS SNOW ON THE FIRST DAY OF SPRINGS!" photos on social media this morning. Yes, it's the first day and spring, and yes, there's snow falling from the sky. No, we don't need 1,000 photos of it.

Maybe too late now, but what about using a dash cam aimed her way?

I have a rewards eraser that basically works so that if you spend 0-150 dollars you always have to use 150 dollars of value of rewards miles, 150-300 300 dollars value used, and 600+ is dollar for dollars. So if you buy anything under 600 dollars you want to get as close as possible to the highest mark or your throwing away miles.

Couple days ago I booked a flight for me and my GF to go to Nova Scotia this summer. I booked the flight there on AC, return on WJ. Both single transactions with both seats together. Westjet charged me as a single transaction and I erased the full amount dollar for dollar as it was over 600.

Air Canada charged me 2 seperate transactions of 415 dollars instead of 1 for 830, screwing me out of the chance to erase it at full dollar value. So I called them asked for it to be billed out correctly as a single transaction, as I didn't book the seats separately. The woman I got on the line was the most obtuse jackhole I've ever spoken to in my life. Oh and this is after 2 hours of waiting for a callback because the 1st callback disconnected me when I got a call saying an agent was ready for me.

Conversation:

Me: So hey I have just 1 transaction with you but it's showing as 2 on the pending transactions.
Woman: Yes sir because you bought two tickets.
Me: Can you confirm though it was just a single transaction? I bought them together (explained my rewards plight).
Woman: OH yes it was a single purchase sir but you bought two tickets.
Me: But I made 1 single purchase.
Woman: Correct.
Me: So why are you charging me twice?
Woman: We aren't.
Me: But there's two pending transactions.
Woman: Because you bought two tickets (in an annoyed tone).

This went on for 10 minutes before I asked for a supervisor. She told me "No, not for this".

Needless to say I wont be using Air Canada again, ever.

How do those work? Do they have their own battery, or do they run off the car battery?
