That was just an incredible committment to the backcheck all game from the forwards. Made the D's job so much easier.

Not even for a minute. Even the last 60 seconds saw Canada attacking and dictating the play. The Latvia game was more nerve-wracking, by a wide margin.

Man what an awesome game by Canada. Despite the odd flurry by the USA here and there, Canada controlled that game.
Drew Doughty is a treat to watch. I am supremely jealous of the LA Kings. I haven't seen Doughty make one bad decision the entire tournament. Just so confident with the puck, and so poised in his own end.
Toews is another player who is just impossible to get off the puck, and is a treat to watch.
Crosby, despite not scoring, was dangerous all game in my opinion, and is having some bad puck luck, if Kunitz could bury some of his chances Crosby would have a few more assists thats for sure.

What an innocuous way to go down.
There was absolutely no fight in the US.

Yep. Roberto is being pure class. Great to see him so happy. And Price was solid.
Though with our D, the Oilers backup could have won that game.

That game showed the importance of being strong on the back end and particularly how important being good at center is. When Kesler and Pavelski, who aren't even the best centers on their own NHL team, are the best you can send you're going to be in tough against a team that can put Toews on the 3rd line, Tavares on the 4th line, and cycle Duchene in and out of the press box.

Meh. After Sunday Canada will have won 4 out of the last 5 major tournaments.
(Olympics 2002, 2010, 2014 and World Cup in 2004).
Not Canada's fault, but these tournaments are losing a lot of their attraction unless they become more competitive.
US didn't really stand a chance, once Canada turned it on in the 3rd, there was no contest.

This.
Any video up yet of Kesler weeping his diving, cheating, classless, whining, cheapshotting eyes out?

The only Twitter account worth following.
As happened last season in Vancouver, Luongo is a consummate professional when it comes to being a supportive back-up - as well as providing great comedic relief.

They had plenty of fight. Did you see their d-man flying all over the place blocking shots and breaking up plays? But on bad ice, against a big and talented Canadian team committed to playing without the puck, they just couldn't generate much offense. And Price was excellent when he needed to be.

I disagree and feel like these are some of the most competitive hockey tournaments in the world. Also don't you think you're getting a little ahead of yourself? Sweden hasn't lost yet, and it's the gold medal game, anything can happen.

really impressed in that third period with the forwards, most of whom have spent their entire careers as elite offensive players, just rolling 30 second shifts of responsible, aware and well-paced hockey
