Disappointments? Crosby looks average. Bergeron didn't impress me. MSL was a total nonfactor. Kunitz should never have been on this team IMO. Maybe the skill of Giroux would've helped. We sure miss Stamkos.
Overall in all the games I've seen Canada has spent too much time on the outside. We need to attack the net more. More wraparounds. More driving the slot.

Ladd. Andrew Ladd. If you are going to bring a guy like Kunitz because you like his two-way game, better to bring the bigger, faster, finisher who is an incredible big game player.
Too much perimeter play out there for Canada. Too much off the rush, not enough in zone cycle.
Not surprising the players we seem to be singling out as playing well were the same players playing below the goal line, taking the puck to the net and setting up in front of the goalie.
Need more jam, less tick tack toe.

That was too much for me to handle. I haven't been that worked up about hockey for a long time.
Canada - USA in the Semis. Of course.
What a crazy hockey game.
Also I have been so impressed with Doughty, Toews, Getzlaf, Weber, and Perry. Especially Doughty.

I agree we need to outscore teams by more, but you clearly didn't watch the game if you didn't think we got enough shots and chances.

I want to know whose brilliant idea it was to put two television guys, Gord Miller and some other guy, on the radio play by play. I was stuck having to listen to most of the game and these two spend more time chitchatting than calling the game. At least half the time you can hear the game going on in the background but you have no idea was is actually happening because Gord has obviously forgotten his audience can't see the play.

Latvia vs. Canada, Mens Hockey at 10:00 AM Mountain
TSN just said that it sounds like Tavares is done for the tournament so duchene will probably come back in and no one will have to sit.

So, Tavares done for the Tournament.
Guess that means the Islanders won't win another game this NHL season.
Hello 6th pick.

Hopefully Florida can go on a tear down the stretch because it's looking more and more likely that we'll be finishing 5th last.

Sucks for him, obviously, and for Canada, but even more for the Islanders... not that they had a chance of making the playoffs anyway.
I guess that means no more questions about who plays among the forwards.

Would love to see a productivity measurement from Noon ET Friday to about 3:00 ET. Can it be at negative levels? We'll find out.

The negative comments about the Canadian forwards are getting rediculous.... Canada's offence is bound to break out. Not often do you outshoot the opposition 57-16 and win 2-1

The Oilers allowed more shots against the Sharks than Latvia did against Canada. Just think about that for a minute.

Too about about Tavares. Canada needs all the scoring power they can get right now. Out shot Latvia 57-16, but we just are not getting the bounces!!! We will need to put together a big game to beat the US. USA are scoring a lot of goals in this tourny.
Obviously Canada has the better defence in the match-up, but i think the US has the edge in goaltending. Offense to offense match up just fine. Will be a good one! Too bad its not for the gold!

Wow has Crosby been quiet, and they picked Kunitz cause of him. It should've been Giroux.

Another perimeter pass first player would not be helping Canada right now.

Hard to get scoring chances when the opposition has five skaters standing in the slot the whole time. Luckily, the Americans don't play that game.

The real problem is that this team needs more Jarome Iginla on it.
