I believe Chef Noble (of NotaBLE restaurant fame) tweeted about having to start charging a fee for reservations in light of some cancellations on New Years Eve. Ends up costing them potential business after turning people and other reservations away.

I have no problem with restaurants the require you to provide a credit card number for a reservation.

I've met him once at a golf tournament and once through a mutual acquaintance, but I wouldn't really say I know him.

There's a few here that know, but I don't like saying it online since people have a habit of taking peoples personal comments and using them against them. I'd much rather be myself than have to worry about backlash because of something I said online. Like the Springs1 thread, I'd be just waiting until someone makes the comment 'Executive Chef of xxxxx calls customer a bitch!'

Chefs are possibly among the most commonly judged people in the world after celebrities and athletes, no need to make it any easier for critics. Not that I consider myself remotely on the same level as the bigger guys in town, like David Flegal, or the already mentioned Michael Noble, because I'm just not yet

And if you're asking because you're wondering why I'm on CP in the middle of the afternoon on Valentines day, it's because I broke my hand . "Office chef" most of the time lately

Getting a positive test for C.Difficile kind of grinds my gears. And my guts, I guess. Plus we were supposed to be going to see our grandson this weekend and now we can't, because I worry about even the remotest chance of making him sick when he's only 10 days old and has a functionally immature immune system.

People that don't lock their cars or homes at night, then complain when stuff gets stolen.

Really?!?

This is the 3rd time my neighbor's truck has had items stolen from it, because he didn't lock it. What? You didn't learn the first 2 times?

My buddy left his wallet in his car last week and then acted all angry when someone broke in and stole it. Who the F leave their wallet in their car? Maybe a wallet-in-the car-leaver on this site can explain the reasoning behind it. My uncle does the same thing and the same thing happened to him. Yeah, it's crappy some crackhead broke in and stole your stuff. But that's your own damn fault for leaving something valuable like that in the fist place. I don't feel sorry for people like that at all.

"That" American tourist. Having just spent the past week on vacation surrounded by these ignorant ######s it is no wonder why many want to see that country exterminated. That said, we did meet some good Yanks as well.

I leave my wallet in my truck most of the time, I don't like driving with a large bulging wallet in a back pocket it hurts my back after a while. But I also Park in my garage. Also ensures I don't forget it

Wallet? What wallet? Just wear track pants without pockets and then get your dad to carry your money for you.

Originally I thought TurnedtheCorner, but he's just too different. I mean, he could be doing it on purpose, but I doubt it. I guess we'll have to wait for him to comment on Stampede to fully find out.

Executive Chef of xxxxx say he has too much of your hard-earned money and it makes his wallet so thick he can't even fit it in his pocket.

Wasn't there a poster on here who left their car unlocked because the total amount of goods they lost thus far would have been close to what it would cost to replace a smashed window/door lock or cover the rise in insurance premiums? I don't remember the details, but definitely remember the conversation.
