Hey Springs,
I know you have a job where you work really hard and ******CARE****** but have you ever considered trying to work as a waitress? And no, the drive-thru window is not the same.

Nope, no drugs. I don't even know how to smoke even. Now on the weekend, I may have a drink or two, but not during the week. I don't do drugs though. That is the GOD'S TRUTH!

Wait, you get offended, bitchy, and upset when a server gets you a free refill without asking your permission first?

Well, she's clearly passionate about food service at 2nd rate eateries. It's an odd thing to be infamous for but there it is. When she looks back on her life perhaps she'll think "I made the world a better place by getting upset when that waiter brought me a free refill before I asked". Granted, that's a lot to fit on a tombstone.

Yes, but one thing I do already have a job and like it. Weekends off, paid holidays 2 weeks vacation, 401k, etc. Servers have crappy schedules and working double or triple shifts, work most holidays, not much benefits(health insurance I am assuming since that's by law now for all places I believe).
One thing that may put my tips down is now I am older, I find myself in the bathroom more often, which would mess with my tips unlike when I was younger could hold it longer. That would be an issue. If I need extra money one day I could try it for one shift a week if someone would hire me just for one day a week, which is possible since they always need people on weekends usually. They may not start me off serving though since I haven't been a server really, although you never know because I'd probably go to work for a place that knows me and people that like me already as a regular customer.
I would still do as I preach. I am the opposite of most workers. I get bored if I have nothing to do. I go clean up things. That's what I did at the donut shop/diner when it was slow, I'd clean up things like move some draw that held the drive-thru area items like ketchup packets, sugars, etc. would always have some mess back there I'd sweep back there. Most workers if they had nothing to do would just go sit or something. I would be working. That's how I am and how not lazy I am. I don't like doing nothing, that's boring. At my last job I had I vacuumed while the computer server was down while other people in my office(It was a small office back then I worked for) chit chatted for hours). I wanted to accomplish something.
So just to say I would try my best is all. I also wouldn't expect 20% if I messed up even if I really made a real mistake where I did try, but missed something and apologized and got something comped. I know what I would be worth and deserve. I'd be HONEST with myself and my performance. Most servers aren't and are just plain entitled.

I can think of a few choice 4 and 5 letter words that would fit quite nicely on a tombstone

I get aggravated that they CONTROLLED my dining experience. That they have wasted my time if I wanted something else.
Why should someone else that isn't paying the tip get a say so in my dining experience, huh?

So if you have to wait too long for a refill, you get upset. But when they bring you one without you asking, you get even more upset?
It's free for you ffs, if you don't want it just say "Oh sorry, could I get a (drink) instead?" There, job done, nobody's time was wasted, and better yet years aren't getting shaved off your life from high blood pressure.

Speaking of control, your obsession with service is quite disturbing. You expect perfection down to the tiniest of details. You will never be satisfied and will always find something to complain about. The fact you post about this on countless forums and blogs speaks for itself.

Yeah, they have a tough job with not a lot of benefits. It's not made any easier by overly demanding, rude customers judging them if they aren't doing 100%.

Yeah, I'm sure the people that know you would love to have you work there, although, they'd probably have to hide some of their activities like dripping their ball sweat on their favorite customers sandwich.

I have no doubt of that. You are consistent if anything.

Sorry Springs but that's just not fair. You don't know what most workers are like. You are judging "most" people without ever knowing them. The bible says "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and "judge not lest ye be judged yourself" and "too much ranch dressing is an abomination to the Lord", etc.

I think some customers are just plain entitled too.

If they did they'd get bitched at for doing it and not asking if she wanted it first
