Don't ever stop being an extremist with your POV. Carters skating is just fine. ECHL quality skating is absurdly extreme.

Actually he has NHL skating. Don't know where you missed him keeping up just fine with the average NHL player.

He has blown by plenty of defenders, he's just fine.

He has significant troubles transitioning from offence to defence. His lateral movement is non-existent. Add to that, he's a lazy skater.

Just because he might have average straight-line speed doesn't mean he's not a bad overall skater.
