I still don't get why you'd care. If anything, it would point out the dbags.

For instance, I went to a game in Calgary when the Oilers were in town. I wore a Canucks tshirt. I certainly didn't want to be mistaken as a Flames or Oiler fan. If that makes me a ###### then so be it. Perhaps I just lack anger for people I've never met. Or maybe both.

I don't want to detail this thread, but changing the point system does little to the standings, and in effect does nothing for the playoffs cutoff. In the end, the loser point adds excitement to the end of the year for the fans as it essentially bunches teams near the playoff cutoff line and makes for closer races. I can't see why they would change that

Well, maybe alternatively, the best for all sides involved would be to return to a system of no OT with no points awarded in the case of a tie in regular season play. I could see this making the games more fun and intense from a fan point of view.
I don't think anybody really appreciates the lackluster performance in the last 5 minutes of a tie game where both teams have decided to be content with at least a single point instead of really trying to pull off a win.

This phrase and "target on his/her back" are extremely common in all the reality shows that have come up in the last 15 years. That's where I hear it the most, if I were to think about it.
