1. The trapezoid behind the net. Lamest thing ever, let the goalie play the puck wherever.
2. The Russian factor. Get the damned IIHF,NHL and KHL locked in a room until an agreement is hammered out. Sick of it.
3. Dumb new rules every year, case in point, the Jersey tuck rule this year.
4. Expansion. Take the teams out of the terrible markets and put them in new markets.

North American sized ice. This is completely IMO: It doesn't make for as entertaining of a game, and it's not big enough to accommodate for the size of a modern hockey player

Sports announcers who feel they have to talk like they grew up in Brooklyn.

Sound from the announcers during a SportsNet broadcast.

Announcers
refs that dont call just the dive
refs that cant tell what a dive is
refs that dont give the instigator after a clean hit and teammate jumps the hitter

I would be curious to see how the last 2-3 season's standings would change if points where recorded this way.

Somebody here did do that, IIRC. It was a thread to do with the topic of 3 point games, but can't search for it in Tapatalk.

I would love for Kent Wilson to be banned from following NHL and take up baseball or darts.

Anyone who uses a thesaurus for personal gain on a regular basis is a complete loser in my eyes.

If you are going to be a sports blogg'r then use language everyone knows.

I'm not saying you have to completely dumb it down but let's get real. When is the last time you used "at first blush" to describe ANYTHING let alone an event that took place in a Flames game?

Ban Kent Wilson! His quality of article compared to relative writing is deplorable. Ostentatious actually.

Who's Kent Wilson...many of you might ask? Doesn't matter. Carry on.

Announcers referring to the Sedin's by their first names only.

Announcers using the term "coming out party" to describe a young player that puts a bunch of points up.

The pussbag anti-fighting movement.

Carolina, Atlanta, Florida, Tampa and Phoenix.

The term "ice hockey".

Shooting puck over the glass penalty, give the ref's the delay of game discretion similar to diving.

I think someone plotted it out, and it doesn't change much I don't think. It's more the principle that bothers me.

I would love to see a dive called. Either he was tripped/hooked, or he dove. I hate it when they call both.
