Yeah I'm not sure what MMF did wrong in that thread. timbit did his usual one sentence dick post, and then was wrong but could accept it gracefully and needed to take personal shots at people. If he had just said "yup I was wrong, my bad" all would have been fine. I've seen people not get banned for much worse. Unless he said something in PM that was really over the line. Can't imagine a PM could be THAT bad though.

Yeah, that's pretty rough if that's what got him banned. It was a very accurate description of timbit's annoying posting style.

I went almost 9 years without one, and then racked up 3 in a few months last year. GMG I tell yah (we're still on topic right?)

I was kind of the opposite, I was a lot more a-holish and sweary a few years ago (hard to imagine I know) and I racked up some infractions in a small period of time.

I could tell by the tone of guys like Ken002 and Jiri when they'd infract me was basically like "c'mon man, seriously?".

I'm probably a good example of the infraction system here actually working, as it turned me from a poster who was going further and further into "hey, I'm just here to be a ****", to "hey, I'm kind of a ****, but a nice, polite ****, who can take a shot and not get bent out of shape."

Me too. I don't want to get banned so I police myself pretty strictly. 90% of my posts I delete before submitting.

Yeah, I've self-edited probably 50 plus posts directed at moon and timbit in the last year alone. They post the way they post, and they know what they're doing, but at the end of the day, it's just not worth it.
