I don't know the history between these guys, but if I didn't know better it sounds like MMF wants to fight Rog based solely on the Twitter conversation.

I don't see why everyone is overreacting anyway. Don't most pending UFA's engage in contract negotiations at some point anyway? Doesn't necessarily mean Cammy is going to re-sign. There is a good chance he'll be dealt even if negotiations are ongoing until the deadline.
I wouldn't even be opposed to signing him to a new deal if the return Burke is being offered is a lot worse than most are predicting. If he's only worth a second rounder the Flames might as well bring him back considering they will have a difficult time bringing other free agents to Calgary during the rebuild.

It's all good folks..MMF is really just misunderstood by me. We will work it out. As for the rest of you...and MMF ...all the best. keep cheering for the Flames...its a interesting road with many turns for them...quite fascinating actually.

trackercowe you are correct! Teams will always chat with impending UFA's. In fact coincidentally Ian Pulver Cammy's agent was here for Top Prospects game. So was Pat Morris Stajan's agent...he got signed...so you just never know. In best interest of both sides to get clarity.

Bummer! I'll have coffee with you heh, my wife and I have a standing agreement that whenever the flames make the Stanley cup finals again I get to fly back to Calgary and attend all the home games. So maybe 2019ish?

There's no problem with you doing both, but sometimes those lines get blurred and it's hard to determine which is which.

Flash. I don't avoid anything. Just hasn't worked out. It will. Nik..I understand it gets blurred. I walk a pretty fine line in my job. My good friend Elliotte Friedman who does an outstanding job by the way..does not have a relationship with a team and players...That blurring unfortunately may continue. I will try and be better however.
