You are exaggerating my original comment, which started this s..tstorm and which I can only attribute to people being bored. I never said or implied the above at all.

No you are right it is everyone else's fault, like those silly women.

Your post strongly implied that women shouldn't do things that make them look less feminine. That you don't see how this logically leads to the statement that looking feminine (ie - pretty) is more important than doing what she feels like doing, and being who she wants to be, is an inability to work out the consequences of your ideas and not anyone's misinterpretation.

As long as we keep this conversation civil, no, your interpretation is wrong. You have seen my position on personal liberties. I would have never said or implied something like that. What I did say was that some hard sports make women look less feminine and I stand by that statement. Even if you disagree, how is that a heresy or "character flaw" as MMF's suggesting?

It is hard to keep a discussion civil, when the very root of your side of the discussion is uncivil, IMO.

I don't see how the first bolded statement can be reconciled with the second. You aren't just saying that women look less feminine when doing particular sports, you're saying that women (well - you're saying "girls", which is a bit of tell as well, as you aren't using it ironically) shouldn't participate in them because of that.

But you said they shouldn't play certain sports because it makes them look less feminine. That's an important distinction. No is saying what type of women to be attracted to, but wanting someone to act a certain way, or do certain things, so they fit your idea of what is attractive is wrong.

Fair enough, it could have been phrased differently, perhaps. But those who took offense in it and accused me of being sexist should not radicalize the statement just because you disagree with the premise for as long as you acknowledge my right to believe in that premise. My statement: "I believe that some sports make women look less feminine" was converted into "Women must stay home, mend the children and cover their faces" or something like that. Don't you see the difference?

Psst...

That's still sexist, without converting it to anything else.

Having a very large head while wearing glasses. Not many choices for frames, hats are just a no go, and headphones could easily be a source of pain rather than pleasure if too much clamping pressure.
