That would be a brilliant buy by Utd, but it would cost them a fortune.

What a game by Webb yesterday ... too bad we sold him. Big loss.

seriously though, how is the Lloris/Young situation not a stonewall penalty? Mind-bottling, as CP would say.

Outside of the missed call on Lloris, I don't think he was too atrocious. Welbeck went down too easily in the box (and was likely a dive if we're being honest) and Januzaj's booking was 50/50.

I think he was spot on with the Welbeck decision, that was a stupid dive ... could you please stay on your feet, for gods sake? Really pissed me off when he went down like that. There probably was some contact, but not like that ...

The Young/Lloris decision was horrible though.

how do you go in like that without conceding a penalty? Horrible call. That's a penalty and at least a yellow card every day of the week.

As for the Januzaj decision, I think Adnan paid for the reputation that he sadly has already. We all know he goes down rather easily, and that's something that they'll need to work on and try to get it out of his game. That being said, Rose didn't even go for the ball, he simply stepped into Januzaj and that's a clear foul by Rose if you ask me. See how he doesn't even try to get to the ball:

Both Young and Januzaj paid for their reputation IMO. Even more reasons to get that bull#### diving out of their game ... I don't want United to be that way. It sickens me when skilled players cheat like that ... it's the only thing that really irks me about fantastic players like Bale and Ronaldo as well.

So after all, that's two major games in a row where Webb made decisive mistakes. Too bad, normally I like the guy. That being said, United only have to blame themselves. Their defense was shambolic at both goals as Tottenham was really good on the counter-attack ... Evra is a huge liability out there. We all know that Lennon always causes him nightmares, but that was brutal yesterday. Also, more than enough possession and goal chances to still win the game. Really unnecessary loss.

I thought Welbz was a dive

Januzaj/Rose was a 50/50, yellow for diving was harsh and I agree on reputation

Young lack of call was 100% on reputation, I wish there was a retroactive punishment for diving to win a penalty or something like that, but until there is, guys like Young/Suarez/Oscar/Bale/Ronaldo/Neymar etc. not getting calls unless it's 100% certain I don't mind

OGS said yes to Cardiff and has already signed two players represented by his own agent. Halo well and truly slipped.
we might be seeing the beginning of a young Harry Redknapp, he loved doing that

A victory for City that came gift wrapped with a little bow on top. Courtesy the referee.

That was a baffling call. That said, the FA gave Pardew a pass on his comments, they obviously know the Ref choked on that one.

Similarly, I was watching the Liverpool/Stoke match and thought that the penalty awarded to Sterling was very soft. I initially thought Sterling was going to get booked for diving.

Apparently Nemanja Matic goes back to Chelsea for 20m ... that's crazy, going back to the club that never gave him a chance only a couple years ago. Nice deal for Benfica though. Those Portuguese clubs sure are masters when it comes to "buy low, sell high".

I am always surprised the first thing these nouveau rich clubs don't do is raid the scouts at Porto, Benfica, Udinese etc.
