Really, were Stajan and Stempniak this bad when they were jettisoned out of Toronto?

No, running around gooning it up when you're losing is lame. Show me some emotion when you can still win the game and I'll be impressed, not pushing people in a scrum after we've been dummied all game.

Cammalleri has to wake up.
That play would get the rookies a ticket to the pressbox.

This. I have nothing against dressing the beef if they will do something but they don't provide any energy.

Ideally we'd have no goons in the lineup, but alas, we have two of them.
I want them to at least do something if we're going to dress them.

Well I've been off of work since after Christmas and have had a chance to watch full games without it cut into work. Since then they've scored once. WTF couldn't they have waited until next week for the drought...

Well ####, if we had sent Monahan to the WJC, we'd have no goals post Christmas.

I would much rather have Monahan making Drouin look bad than suffer through this mess.

Who are they going to fight? Tampa doesn't have any goons on their squad and will happily take the powerplays, score goals and embarrass you on the scoreboard in your own barn. Goon hockey is dead. You need guys that are tough to play against. Intelligent, hardworking and productive players are a pain to play against. Thugs are easy to play against, especially if they take stupid penalties and give up great scoring opportunities. We are a very easy team to play against because our truculent players are meat heads and our skill players are lazy or unengaged.
