There is zero reason to think Gaudreau will not sign with the Flames except you having an over active imagination.

Interested to see what the Flames do with Gordon, hes put up solid numbers this year. 28 GP, 14 goals, 21 assists, but he doesn't have a ton of hype surrounding him.
Victoria won 1-0 in a shootout, Kanzig had two penalty minutes.

He's the Matt Stajan of prospects. He does everything adequately, but with no part of his game standing out. Just exceedingly average in every way.

If Jankowski had a traditional developmental history, then I would agree with you. However, what is often missed about him is not just his age, but also his inexperience. We shouldn't underestimate how massive the gap is between Quebec HS prep hockey and NCAA Division I: it is a leap that Jankowski made as a 17-year-old, and has not once looked out of place. In my opinion, there is no prospect quite like him, because he was so young when he was drafted, had recently experienced a massive growth spurt, and had no elite-level hockey training to speak of when the Flames selected him. These factors detract from making apt comparisons, or making sound judgments with regards to his current pace relative to his draft peers.
The sorts of questions expectations of him that many have now are likely not warranted for at least another year, perhaps two. When Feaster and co. qualified him as a long term project, this is exactly what they are getting at: not only was Jankowski a good four or five years away from making the NHL, he was also a good four years away from anyone knowing with much clarity what the Flames have in him, and what we can expect projected over the long term.

The NCAA schedule starts getting back to normal this weekend. Colgate is the only team with a Flames' prospect playing tonight, but tomorrow, both Providence and Boston College are playing in "Frozen Fenway" games outdoors at Fenway park in Boston.
With Team USA's early elimination at the World Juniors, Gillies should be back home for the game, but I don't know if they'll play him.
Here's Providence's sophomore class (minus Gillies) on the ice today (Janko is second from the right in the back row, Gilmour is fourth from the right in the back row). They play Merrimack at 4:00 ET...
Here's Bill Arnold modelling BC's special jerseys for their game against Notre Dame at 7:30ET...
Both games will be televised on NESN, if you have access to that channel.

Colgate defeated #1 ranked Minnesota 3-2 in a shootout (which goes into the books as a 2-2 tie). Tim Harrison got the primary assist on Colgate's first goal.
It was Harrison's 4th assist (and 4th point) of the season. Each of his points has been a primary assist.
The tie/loss is unlikely to change the national rankings for Minnesota. Providence and Boston College ended 2013 ranked #4 and 6 respectively in the final USCHO.com poll of the year on Monday (there was no post-Christmas USA Today poll, where PC and BC are 5th and 6th).

The Wheaties were in town Thursday night, so Flames TV caught up with Eric Roy...
Roy was held off the scoresheet in the 4-1 Hitmen win.
In WHL prospect action on Friday...
Kanzig was -3 with 7 PIM in a 5-3 loss to Spokane.
Gordon had an assist on Swift Current's loan goal in a 3-1 loss to Kootenay. It was his second game back after going down to injury on November 19. He has 3 points in those two games.
Klimchuk was a +1 with no points in Regina's 4-3 shootout win over Saskatoon. It was his first game since November 23.
Kulak was -1 with no points in Vancouver's 4-2 win over Kelowna.

Colgate gets a huge 3-0 win over #2 ranked Ferris State to defeat the top 2 teams in the NCAA on back-to-back nights. No points for Harrison.
At Fenway, Providence and Merrimack skated to a 1-1 draw. Gilmour had an assist on Providence's lone goal. Gillies was unable to play due to his equipment being lost in transit.
Boston College is playing Notre Dame also at Fenway. It was supposed to start an hour ago, but because the Providence game went long, it still isn't underway. NESN and NBC Sports Network are televising the game, but I can't find a working stream of either channel.
