Good ol' CP overanalysing every shred of evidence. I remember how Doughty was supposed to have embellished Bourque's spear based on the way Bourque's stick flexed.
Good ol SNC, coming to CP to take pot shots at a rivals fanbase that is over-analyzing what was a 2 minute penalty hit on a player on a team that is known the game over as embellishing / diving at every opportunity.
And you were doing so well too.

Speculating that he was knocked out was made up entirely during the course of this thread based on Alberts laying motionless on the ice post-hit. Doesn't mean he was knocked out, or even faking being knocked out. I recall being taught in minor hockey (and learning from experience) to lay still (if you can) if you think you've been hurt and try to position your body in a way that minimizes pain. That's pretty much what I saw in Alberts' movements and reaction.
All speculation on my part as well, but I don't believe Alberts was embellishing anything.

Not a rival fanbase, just CP. To most other Flames fan, this isn't even an issue. To most Canucks fans, there's the hope that Corrado gets called up. The players involved and the play itself are inconsequential. And I think most hope Alberts is okay.

GMs around the campfire tell a story that if you say Sbisa 5 times in the mirror, he appears on your team with a 3.6 million cap hit.
That dive was quite reckless, he could've easily injured himself. Alberts 2 games.
Yes. He dove. Ofcourse he did.
There is a large group of folks in this thread who attended the same Medical school as one Dr. Recchi.
It was a high hit, with no malicious intent but was incredibly reckless. That is suspendable. Get over it. Don't accuse someone who was obviously hurt of "diving" cause your guy is gonna get suspended for it. It makes you look petty and ridiculous.
does anyone who thinks Alberts is faking an injury (he's out with a concussion and Canucks have called up Corrado) ever had a head injury?
have you seen how some guys shake? some guys try and get up but stop? some get knocked out cold? etc. etc. etc.
if not, you are coming off as extremely ignorant
and to think that the first thought that would go through your head after a concussion is that "I better sell this" shows an extreme lack of knowledge on head injuries

He dove just like Burrows was playing peak a boo with Auger after pretending to be hurt.
The Canucks practice diving. They are masters of the dive.

yeah yeah that's fine and all, but if our players get further punishment due to causing an injury as defined in the rules it better be because of an actual injury. There's a difference between a high-hit and a high-hit that causes injury, disregarding that fact makes you look stupid and ignorant.
There's also a difference between diving and embellishment, nobodies doubting that it hurt him, the fact is it looked like he was acting even if he wasn't.

To be honest it still looks to me like he dived. I don't think there is anyone on CP who wants to see a player get injured; The Canucks have earned a reputation through exaggerated embellishments and dives while faking injuries. This might be a lot more believable if it were not for an ongoing reputation. It's quite possible he injured himself trying to sell it. That said the hit was reckless no doubt, but I don't see the elbow that would cause the concussion I think the concussion happened it happened when he hit the ice.
